Devil on my Shoulder #3 is the final stop on the way to the series finale, and it definitely doesn’t disappoint. The graphic nature of the story truly brings the horror to life; well, the backstory of the girls training brings the reader closer to her. Couple the great story with some awesome, but disturbing at times artwork, and this book becomes a must read for any horror fans. If you have not been reading this series grab a copy of this issue and also the first two and prepare yourself for the thrill ride.

Devil on My Shoulder #4 is the perfect ending to what has been the horror comic book series of the year. With an epic final showdown, revelations about the story that are finally revealed, and a strong tease for a possible continuation, this final issue checks every box. My only detraction is that we didn’t get more issues of this series, but hopefully that is rectified with Volume Two. This is my Pick of the Week and should be on the top of every horror comic fans list to pick up at the shops this week. If you have not been reading this series, keep your eye out for when the Trade Paperback is released and grab a copy.

Everything Dead & Dying #5 brings the series to an end in an impeccable way. There is violence, horror, and reveals throughout this final issue of the series. But what truly makes this issue incredible, and a fitting ending, is the drama and emotions from Jack that play out. Being on this tortured journey with him for this whole series has made the reader close to him. So, the fact that you can feel his pain and sorrow going into the close makes this final issue much more impactful. This is a must have at the LCS this week, and if you haven't been reading this series make sure to order your TPB as soon as they are up for order. This is a series that you really don't want to miss.

Freddie the Fix is an awesome read. Garth Ennis brings it on every page of this story. Giving some mystery, a little horror & gore, and some of that classic Ennis humor. This story has a little something for everyone. The only down part to this story is that its currently only a one shot.

G.I Joe #13 kicks off the Dreadnok War in a big way. The action is hot and heavy right from the jump and really pulls the reader in. If this kickoff is any indication where the war is going, we are going to be eating good. This is my Pick of the Week and should be a must have when you hit the LCS this week!

Godzilla: Infinity Roar #1 is an awesome kickoff to an amazing crossover series. The table is set with a very aggressive and calculated story that brings the heat right out of the gate. Couple that with some amazing artwork that nails the same vibe of the story, and you have the makings of something epic.

The Incredible Hulk #30 is a fitting and perfect end to an era, well also being the perfect launch spot for what's to come. This issue will go down as one of those must have comics on everyone's list. Great writing with awesome art really sets this book apart from all other books on the shelf. This is my Pick of the Week, and if you want to be on the frontlines of the Infernal beginnings this is a must grab at the LCS this week.

This book blew me away. When I got offered this book to review, I didnt know what to expect. As a new comic book reviewer, Ive been on a journey of new books to read and explore. This book makes me want to dive further into an uncharted area and Ill be chomping at the bit to finish out this arc over the next couple of issues.

James Tynion IV continues to weave this whodunit story and masterfully keeps you guessing. This book is a great blend of murder mystery and slasher story. Knowing that there is only one issue left has me chomping at the bit to find out how this story ends.

After waiting for what seemed like forever for this final issue of the story, this book delivered and then some. James Tynion IV not only gave us a fitting ending, but also a wonderful epilogue. The killers identity comes out of left field, but after the explanation it makes perfect sense. This issue, much like the series had suspense, horror, and an awesome look into the psyche of all the characters involved.

The Infernals #5 was an awesome finale to a great arc. Noah Gardner & Ryan Parrott wrote a terrific story that from start to finish was amazing. The drama, action, and heart of this story was shown all the way through the series and especially here in the finale. In a world where most stories dont stick the landing, The Infernals does.

What If? Galactus Transformed Hulk is an awesome one shot with a lot of heart. The only detraction is that we aren't getting more of this. Bring this team back to write an Incredible Hulk series NOW! Highly recommend picking this up at your LCS this week.

X-Men: Age of Revelation Finale #1 does an impeccable job of starting the end of this monster event. The story draws you in, all while setting up where we will be going. The art helps drive the point home, as it shows the reader exactly what is happening. To put the cherry on top, the final twist will hook you in for this final ride. This book is my Pick of the Week and should be a must grab when you hit the LCS this week.

This first issue packs a mighty punch, starting with the story itself. The story takes you on a whirlwind ride. A tale of a man who went through a traumatic loss in his youth, that shaped the rest of his life. Now that his life and mind are failing him, we dont know what is real and what is not. Scott Snyder is taking us on a psychological thrill ride, that has some incredible twists and turns. At the same time the story has a ton of heart and makes you truly care for Johnny.

The first issue of Speed Racer fires on all cylinders and delivers one hell of a joy ride. David Pepose hits yet another homerun and crafts yet another amazing world. The attention to detail and character development allows readers to understand and connect with the characters. The narrative is engaging, dynamic, and conveys a strong emotional depth. This is only issue one and it already has the reader on the edge of their seats. The teasing of Racer X is just icing on the cake.

Issue two builds really kicks the Speed Racer story into full gear. David Pepose really hits his stride with character development and making the reader care about our main characters. There may be no better character writer in all of comics than Pepose. On top of the character development, we also get a great story arc that will play out. Mix in some insane racecar action, and you have a perfect storm of a story.

This issue really brings some different emotions to the arc. David Pepose does a fantastic job of showing the litany of emotions that are driving Speed in this story. Well at the same time advancing and moving the story forward with Racer X. The bumbling master criminal Ace Deucey brings a bit of comic relief to the pretty serious tone of the story as well. Overall, Pepose shows why he is one of the best at bringing human emotion to a story.

Speed Racer #4 is another slam dunk issue in this outstanding series. Human emotion leads to a great deal of awesome suspense. Well, the racing action gets the readers' heart pounding. The cliffhanger end is reminiscent of the Batman tv series and serves as a great homage. Every month this series delivers and is a highlight of my Pull List. Speed Racer #6 is a great kickoff to this new arc and starts this latest volume off with a bang. The drama and revelations of the past bring some surprising elements to this issue. This first issue of the arc fires on all cylinders and is sure to be the talk of the shops this week. Couple the impactful story with some equally stunning artwork and you have a total package of a book. This is the perfect jump on point if you haven’t been reading Speed Racer. Don’t miss the opportunity to see what makes this series great and grab your copy at the LCS this week!

Speed Racer #7 is an emotional ride that will put any reader into their feels. The drama in this book and series is what makes this one of the best titles on the shelf today. But don’t worry, the action-packed racing scenes are still here and make this issue even better. This is a must pick up at the LCS this week and should definitely be on your Pull List. This is my Pick of the Week and when you get your copy you will find out why.

This first issue does a great job of building the world we find ourselves in. Frank Tieri does an expert job of giving the reader a great base story to build on, while drawing out some good mystery for later. The adult situations in the book make this story feel like its taking place in our reality. Things are not cut and dry in the real world, nor are they in this fictional world of Empire City. It is not a world of black and white, but rather one of shades of gray.

This second issue really helps to expand the story well, also bringing more intrigue to this world as well. Frank Tieri does an excellent job of drawing the reader in and keeping them entranced with the multiple layers of this world. The maniacal Dr. Mayhem makes for a tremendous and purely evil villain; well, we impatiently await the return of the Crimson Justice. That dichotomy alone makes this story intriguing, but the other twists and turns are just icing on the cake.

Each time it seems the story has reached its peak, the next installment surpasses the previous one. Frank Tieri is crafting a magnificent world and absolutely drawing the readers into this world. The levels of the characters make them just the right amount complex, well at the same time making them completely relatable. The adult setting makes this a great read for an older audience, well the reality of the story keeps any readers interest.

This story hits a new high as we not only get the Crimson Justice, but also the reveal of the identity of Dr. Mayhem. Frank Tieri does a masterful job of giving us the story of the old beatdown superhero and everything that goes along with that. The vulnerability of our hero brings realism to the story and makes the reader feel a special kind of bond with him. Then the reveal of Dr. Mayhem, well it makes sense, also catches the reader by surprise because you dont want to accept who it is.

Whatever Happened to the Crimson Justice? #5 delivers a top tier finale to this amazing story. The issue is filled with every emotion possible and really gives the reader a gut punch with the revelations of the story. The story has a well thought out and poetic ending that will please even the most jaded reader. The wait for this final issue was well worth it and finished the story strongly. If you have been waiting for this like I have, you will not be disappointed. If you haven’t read this series, make sure to keep an eye out for the release of the trade paperback as you will surely want to read this series in its entirety.

Bug Wars #1 is a great kickoff issue and really immerses you in the world right away. Jason Aaron does an awesome job of building the world that we are in. He also does an awesome job of introducing us to the family and getting to know them, well also keeping some things back to build intrigue. The introduction to some of the bug factions also works out and helps shape where we may be going as this series progresses.

Bug Wars #2 takes us further into this Mad Max inspired world. Jason Aaron has built an intriguing world with some wonderful bloodlust. The apocalyptic insect world really brings you in. But its the story of our young hero Slade that will really keep you engaged. As the world continues to unfold, so does the readers interest to learn more about it.

Bug Wars #3 gives us the hero turn of Slade and shows his uncertainty about his new role. Jason Aaron does a fantastic job of bringing humanity to all of these buggy characters. You really feel for the characters and the troubles and problems that they face. At the same time there is an underlayer of humor and of course some great action beats as well.

Bug Wars #4 continues to deliver one heck of an adventure saga. Jason Aaron finds a way to not only put our main characters in threatening situations that they must overcome, but also still grows said characters endearing them even more to us. This issue has a lot of heart, but still a good deal of action, comedy, and of course bug guts. As the story pushes forward the depth of the characters is awe inspiring.

Bug Wars #5 steps the story up yet again. The more we find out about this crazy world, the more we want even more. Jason Aaron does a fantastic job creating a suspenseful world with amazing twists and turns. Speaking of twists, the swerve at the end of the story is out of left field and catches you completely off guard.

Bug Wars #6 is a fitting conclusion to the first arc of this epic story. Jason Aaron really delivers the action with the War of the Yard. The back-and-forth nature of the battle which at times feels like our hero wont succeed really makes for some great edge of your seat moments. Couple that with a tremendous tease at the end of the issue that sets up the follow up arc perfectly and you have a fantastic finish.

I Saw Santa #2 is a fantastic horror filled journey which mixes in the tone of the Christmas season. The graphic nature of the kills mixed with the psychological torture make this book a true horror powerhouse. If you are a horror fan these books need to be in your collection ASAP. Get to the LCS and grab a copy or 2 today!

Meanwhile, General Flagg reveals his plans to make his own version of Optimus Prime. Back on Cybertron, Elita is very upset about how her fellow Autobots care more about Earth than their own planet. However, back on Earth after they restored Skywarp he turned on the Autobots, even though Thundercracker pleaded with him not to. This leaves Thundercracker in a predicament, should he follow his Decepticon brother, or form a new allegiance with the Autobots?

Transformers #28 delivers one hell of a story with one of the most shocking and violent endings in the series. The repercussions from the end of this book will be felt in the upcoming issues and beyond. The Energon Universe is one of the best universes in all of media and Transformers is a giant reason why. Grab this issue well you're at the shop this week and enjoy the ride it will take you on.

Transformers #29 is an action-packed joyride that gets the readers adrenaline pumping. Every page is packed with action and shows just how much the hatred between the two sides runs. Add to that an intense final page that catches the reader completely off guard, and you have a slam dunk pick up at the LCS this week. Transformers #30 brings the power struggle to a conclusive end, well also setting the tone for what’s to come next in the series and the Energon Universe as a whole. The action, although great, pales in comparison to the drama and the fallout that we will witness in issues to come. This is one of the most important issues of Transformers in this series run. This book is my Pick of the Week and should be on everyone’s list of books to grab at the LCS this week.

Transformers #31 takes us on a journey to breakdown Megatron. The powerful scenes of him being tortured and coerced will resonate with readers and keep them turning the pages. The artwork will make you stop and appreciate what’s going on in this issue. This one is a total package of awesomeness and should be at the top of everyone’s list to pick up at the shop this week. This is my Pick of the Week, so you should grab a copy and find out why.

Space Ghost Annual #1 does an excellent job of closing the Ultima chapter, as well as setting the table for whats to come next. David Pepose does an awesome job of sticking the landing on this incredible ending of this 13 issue season of Space Ghost. The suspense established throughout the series was effectively resolved with a highly satisfying conclusion. But it doesnt just end this saga, the issue also kicks off where we are going next, including our first introduction to our next big bad.

David Pepose continues to kill it on this resurgence of Space Ghost. This Issue delivers on story, action, and tugging at your heart strings. The trauma that Jace is going through is highlighted and adds an extra layer to the story.

Space Ghost #7 is an awesome story with all the twists and turns weve come to expect in this series. David Pepose brings humanity to all our heroes that makes us care for them like they are family to us. The book has plenty of action and it is great, but the biggest thing this book has is heart. The end of this book tugs at your heart strings, well also giving you hope for issues to come.

Space Ghost #8 continues the trend from this series of always upping the ante. David Pepose doubles down on the suspense and the threat for our favorite galactic hero. We have thought Space Ghost was doomed before, but this time the threat feels more real than ever.

Space Ghost #9 was a perfect culmination of the issues leading up to it. Super action packed, with a perfect period on the story of Metallus, for now. This issue has way more action than the last few issues, and slightly less build to the next. However, the fact that David Pepose let the finale of this arc get its own final issue was just what the doctor ordered. It also builds intrigue for issue #10 kicking off another chapter to this series.

Space Ghost #10 proves once again why this is the best series in comics today. This issue has something for everyone and really tugs at the readers' emotions. This is a must pick up at the LCS, and if this isn't on your Pull List at this point, what are you waiting for!?

Space Ghost #12 continues the streak of every issue out doing the last. David Pepose finds a way every issue to up the ante and completely blow the readers away. This issue we get the heart of our team ripped out and then the team must put it together to succeed. At the same time, we also get some of the best action in all of comics today!

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #1 kickstarts the next journey for Space Ghost. David Pepose does an amazing job of picking up where volume one left off, well adding some wrinkles. This issue features a combination of the narrative of a returning grandfather and an epic battle occurring simultaneously. The way the story flows and moves seamlessly between the two coinciding stories really draws the reader in.

This issue encapsulates what has made Space Ghost the best title on the shelf in the shops today. The single-issue sitcom style of storytelling that connects to a bigger picture really hooks the readers interest and keeps them coming back for more. David Pepose really captures the humanity of the characters in the story, well also showing the complexity of the individual. This allows the reader to truly relate to the characters and identify with them. Pepose understands that the world isnt black & white, but rather differing levels of gray, and this is how he connects the reader to the characters. This is why his writing resonates so well with readers of this series and his other works as well.

Another month, and another kick ass issue of Space Ghost! David Pepose is the master of self-contained stories that deliver on every aspect, well also tying into a bigger picture and arc. The action, the drama, the humor, and the suspense are firing on all cylinders in this issue. Couple that with the introduction of Tarok, who is unique in a world of unique and awesome characters. As this series goes on, it gets stronger with every issue.

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #4 adds another impressive entry to an already outstanding series. It stands out as one of the best comics available, thanks to the remarkable work of its creative team. Each issue continues to exceed expectations and never disappoints. If you haven't read Space Ghost yet, I encourage you to pick up a copy at your local comic shopyou may just find your new favorite series. Space Ghost Vol. 2 #8 is an emotional rollercoaster that leaves the reader in their feels. The issue delivers top notch action, suspense, and most importantly drama. If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a million times, “for my money, Space Ghost is the best series on the shelves”. This issue proves that yet again. If this series is not on your Pull List, you need to rectify that ASAP!

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #9 continues the emotional hardships for the Space Ghost Family. Conquering what has happened to them well having their minds invaded by a Sorceress is traumatizing to say the least. As the series ramps up, and we know we are getting closer to the “big bad” of this series finally showing up, the drama is intensifying. Space Ghost is one of the best books on the shelf every month, and if you are missing out on it, it’s time to rectify that and add it to your Pull List.

Space Ghost Vol. 2 #10 kicks off the endgame of this volume of Space Ghost. The threat that has been built up for this entire volume is here and is as impressive as promised throughout this run. As we get closer to the finale of this volume the stakes couldn’t be higher. This series is one of the best on the shelves at the LCS and this issue shows why once again. If you have been reading this series all along, this is a very exciting time for you. If you haven’t jumped on board yet, grab a copy and see what the hypes about.

Coming off an absolute banger of a first issue, Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse #2 continues to raise the bar. Michael Kingston is weaving a world that around every corner is another threat to take our heroes down. At the same time he's making us fall in love with and care deeply for Vampiro, Everitt, and Estrella. This story is ramping up to amazing levels and it's only issue two!

Vampiro: Rockabilly Apocalypse #3 delivers an entertaining continuation to this banger of a series. Michael Kingston builds up the atmosphere in this issue. Giving more action and raising the stakes for the reminder of the series to come.

Wrestle Heist #1 is an extremely fun and entertaining look at the world of Professional Wrestling. The fun nature of the story shines through and makes for a very enjoyable reading experience. This is a must get for any wrestling and comic book fan, as it seamlessly meshes both worlds together. Even if you are not a wrestling fan this book is still a fun read and a worthwhile pick up this week at the shop.

The designs for the characters stand out by blending elements from well-known pro wrestlers, creating a sense of familiarity for readers. Fans of Pro Wrestling will spot these influences while non wrestling fans will enjoy the fun cartoonish nature of the artwork.

Wrestle Heist #3 continues the trend of this series being fun and entertaining. The story has really developed and at times takes on a more serious tone. But it still stays rooted in fun, making it an easy and super entertaining read. As fun as the story is, the artwork matches it and then some. This is a body slam of a pickup for any wrestling fan at the shops this week. But even if you aren’t a wrestling fan, you will still enjoy this joy ride of a book.

Wrestle Heist #4 is a great penultimate issue that should have everyone excited for the final issue. This issue, much like the rest of the series, has been super fun and entertaining. Even if you are not a wrestling fan you should find this book fun and enjoyable. However, if you are a fan of pro wrestling this is a must-read series for sure.

TMNT x Godzilla #1 is an amazing crossover event that we didn't know we needed but will gleefully enjoy for its entire run. The awesome backstory, mixed with some great action, and fantastic reveals makes this first issue a must read for all comic book fans. This is my Pick of the Week, and you should rush to your LCS and grab a copy today!

TMNT x Godzilla #2 is a great continuation of this awesome crossover event. The stakes are raised and the table is set for the next issue. This event doesn't feel forced or like one franchise is being favored over the other, which makes this an enjoyable read for fans of either franchise. If you didn't get the first issue, it's time to jump on board and grab a copy of issue one and two this week.

TMNT x Godzilla #3 ups the ante well revealing even more of the overall story. This draws readers in and makes them want even more. This crossover has been handled with a great deal of respect to both franchises, well delivering a lot of originality along the way. If you have not been reading this series, it's a good time to start. Grab this issue at the shop this week and enjoy the read.

TMNT x Godzilla #4 significantly advances the overarching narrative, providing additional depth to the story. This approach engages readers and enhances their interest in subsequent issues. The crossover is executed with considerable respect for both franchises, offering originality throughout. For those who have not yet followed this series, now is an opportune time to begin. This issue will be available at retailers this week.

TMNT x Godzilla #5 is a fitting and outstanding finish to this series. The story has been fun and had a lot of awesome action the whole way. Not only did this crossover deliver a lot of fun, but it also represented both franchises impeccably. The care that was put into the story and staying true to both source materials is definitely notable and should be commended. If you have been keeping up with every issue of this event, this is a fun and fitting ending that you should enjoy.

This horror thriller opens strongly with a very interesting and quite mysterious premise. Ryan Parrott really captures the suspense with his slow burn introduction to this world. Revealing enough for the reader to know what is going on, but holding a lot back to keep the reader hooked. The graphic nature of the story puts the reader in the middle of what is going on and brings a level of horror to the story. Well, the mystery and intrigue create a thrilling atmosphere. Parrott does a magnificent job of blurring those lines and perfectly molding them together.

It Killed Everyone But Me #2 moves the story forward and reveals some of the mystery that was built up in issue one. The narrative draws you in, leaving you eager to find out what happens next. The artwork vividly illustrates both the unsettling aspects of the story and the eerie environment that surrounds the characters. If you are looking for a horror thriller book, this is the issue and series for you.

Speaking about the actual horror in this book, it is and has been top tier. Even with the internal struggles going on, Parrott never lets us forget that this is also a pure horror story. The violence, the gore, and the oh my did I just read and see that moments are incredible. Personally, I have enjoyed Ryan Parrott's other horror/thriller writings, but this one is my favorite yet. Parrott is definitely the most underrated writer in this genre, but everyone should stop sleeping on him after this series.

The art is very appeasing and contemporary. It gives the story a grounded feel, well also making the characters feel relatable to their roles. The earthy colors set the vibe and feel of the story. The Shepherds design and reveal is awe inspiring.

Living Hell #2 builds perfectly on the story from issue 1. We get some more character development, while being introduced to new problems and situations. The sisters mini story is fun and graphic. Well, the story with Toby and Jo is funny and heartwarming. Add in two twists at the end, and a Mystery Science Theater 3000 reference, and you have one hell of a recipe.

Living Hell #3 adds to the story well, taking some dark turns along the way. Caitlin Yarsky takes the reader on a ride keeping you on the edge of your seat emotionally. As the plot thickens in the story, the stakes get higher. Each page leaves you in shock and awe. The table has been set nicely for where this story will go next.

If the first issue is any indication of what is to come, TMNT: Battle Nexus may be the best comic event of 2026. The biweekly nature of this series will keep the excitement and anticipation going. Well, the surprise guest appearances, action, and drama are guaranteed to keep the reader hooked. This is my Pick of the Week and if you didn't pre-order your copy of issue one, make sure to run to the LCS today and get a copy ASAP. After you secure your copy make sure to add the series to your Pull List as well.

This event is off to a great start and will be an early contender for Event of the Year. Following a flawless first issue with more drama, more mystery, more action, and most importantly more intrigue really sets the tone for what's to come. Add in that the pacing is perfect and never leaves the reader with a dull moment. This is a must get at the LCS and if you are not following this event already, get on board NOW.

TMNT: Battle Nexus #3 continues to allow the bigger story to unfold, well delivering some hard hitting and emotional action. The story just keeps heating up and building until we finally hit the crescendo. The biggest thing to be excited about is that we only have to wait two weeks for the next issue.

TMNT: Battle Nexus #4 delivers yet another exceptional issue to this awesome event. The more we move forward with this story the more suspense that gets built up making the reader anticipate the next issue more. This unique event really elicits an amazing reaction from the fandom and is a must read for any fan of TMNT.

TMNT: Battle Nexus #5 delivers a satisfactory ending to this mini-series which also leaves room for a return to this world in the future. The handling of the Last Ronin character could have been better and was the reason for my only real criticisms of this issue. Outside of that it was a good finish to a good story arc. If you missed out on this series keep your eye out for when orders start for the trade paperback and make sure you grab a copy.

This first issue hits the ground running with an intriguing story and some edge of your seat suspense. Patrick Horvath does an excellent job of bringing the reader into the despair of a sister in search of her missing brother. The heartbreaking story of her last eight years puts the reader in her shoes and makes us face her world of despair and the disappointment of not knowing the truth. Meanwhile, the suspense is mostly due to her hope of a resolution, well also waiting for the reveal of our favorite antagonist.

The second issue of this arc catches the reader up on whats been going on with Sam and the town of Woodbrook. Patrick Horvath does an excellent job of bringing the reader up to speed on the goings on in Woodbrook, well at the same time introducing some new wrinkles to the story. Horvaths introduction of WebLynx the internet service, is a great way to expand this world. My only detraction is there are a few parts of this issue that bog down a little with what appears to be filler about the town folk. But, even with that this issue is filled with some really good stuff.

This issue gives the reader a great backstory about Sam and really opens up how truly evil she is. Patrick Horvath does an awesome job of mixing in the bigger backstory of Sam, well moving Monicas investigation forward. The cold-blooded nature of Sam really shines through, and shades even more light on her motivations. Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees: Rite of Spring #5 gives a major final push going into the finale of the series. The table is set well, and the stakes are raised all the way up headed into the last issue. All that is left is to see how this will play out and finish the story. This series has been fantastic and I'm sure the finale will be a huge payoff. The countdown is on to the finish and I for one couldn't be closer to the edge of my seat.

Spider-Man & Wolverine #9 is a continuation of the fun that this series has brought to the table. This cool alternate world story really captures the entertainment that should be expected with this team up. Spider-Man & Wolverine #10 is a fitting conclusion to this series. Every emotion is portrayed in this issue and done very well. This wild story arc is a lot of fun and still brings some meaningful emotion to the pages too. The artwork will in trance you and make you go back and give it a second look. Overall, this series has been incredible and if you missed it make sure to grab the trade when it drops in the LCS.

When I Lay my Vengeance Upon Thee #1 is a fresh and awesome take on the exorcism sub-genre. Gus Moreno gets off to a great start by laying down some great groundwork for this story. Issue one starts off with a punch to the face, with a baby being killed. Then it settles in and builds a world thats very interesting, before hitting us with a cliffhanger ending. This issue really has it all.

Issue two is a nice continuation from the first issue. Gus Moreno does a great job of showing us the reluctant partnership between our two main characters. At the same time, he also subtly lets the reader know that there is more to the story that hasnt been revealed. This issue has a wonderful mixture of story building and some in your face horror.

Issue three ramps up the story and really straps you in for a hell of a ride. Gus Moreno is bringing the fire to this world. As suspense builds up, so dont the thrills and surprises. Making an intriguing story that keeps the reader on the edge of their seat.

As we ramp up to the end game of this arc, this issue takes big swings and connects. Gus Moreno has slowly rolled the reveals in this series to near perfection. The suspense which we thought was at an all-time high last issue, goes through the roof in this issue. The big reveal about Maru raises the stakes going into the final issue of this arc.

What an ending to a tremendous series! Gus Moreno hits an absolute homerun and sticks the landing on this final. The energy level and suspense are at a fever pitch and just when you thought you knew how it would end, the direction changes. Its a beautiful and fitting end to an amazing story arc, that leaves the reader satisfied.

This issue is a very emotionally dark piece of art. The tone of a helpless situation, well coming to terms with loss, all well battling inner demons plays out great. Jason Aaron shows that he has no fear of getting dark and dealing with emotional situations in the world of TMNT.

This issue is jam-packed with some awesome action with a focus still placed on the turtles internal struggles. Jason Aaron is doing a masterful job of creating this dark and gritty world that our heroes find themselves in. The action beats in this issue are next level and really bring a great deal of excitement to this issue.

This issue takes a slower, more storytelling approach than the last few issues. Bringing the reader into the internal turmoil, as well as the conspiracy against our heroes in a half shell. Jason Aaron does a great job of making us feel the struggle the turtles are going through personally, as well as with the system that is stacked against them. He also gives us some hope, as he teases that some reinforcements are on the way.

This book tackles a lot of different issues and takes the reader on a hell of a ride. Jason Aaron does an awesome job of taking the reader on a rollercoaster ride, well at the same time keeping everything on track and not confusing the reader. Aaron brings the action, the drama, and most importantly the intrigue of what is to come. The arc of Hale in this issue is a masterful piece of work and really gives him exactly what he deserves.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #12 sticks the landing on this final issue, in an era of final issues, and shows finishing on less than great endings. The issue is jam packed with action and heart just like this entire run has been built on. At the same time this book was a fitting end to the Aaron/Ferreyra run, it also serves as a great leaping off point for the next era, with in my opinion the biggest surprise final page of the year. On October 22nd you need to hurry to your LCS and pick up multiple copies of this epic issue!

Yang also does a fantastic job with the surprises and reveals to the story. Revealing a new puppet master of sorts that is a legit demon in the ear of Karai really allows the reader to start to see the bigger picture at hand. But the huge reveal on the final pages really brings the heart and soul to the story. There are so many ways for this story to go and all of them will surely keep the readers hooked and engaged.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #15 is another great issue in a series full of great issues. The action, well still there, takes a back seat to the drama and story driven tones of this issue. If you weren’t hooked by this arc before, there is no way it doesn’t have you hooked now. TMNT continues to be one of the best series on the shelves and this issue just bolsters that. This is a must add to everyone’s collection and Pull List.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #16 is a dramatic and emotional ride that builds on this tremendous story arc. The more we dive into this arc the more it drives us to want more. This series and line have been a bright spot every month at the shops, and this issue continues that trend. As we approach an upcoming climax there is no fear of it disappointing as the story has been that damn good. If this series isn’t already on your Pull List, make sure to add it ASAP!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #17 is a near perfect penultimate edition to the Ujigami Saga. This issue sets the table for the finale and really makes you want the finale now instead of waiting. The first arc by this new team has been fantastic and this issue is no different. If you have been reading this series, you are in for a wonderful treat with this issue.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Annual #1 bridges the gap between the arc that just finished up and the new arc to come seamlessly. Showing us what are heroes were up to while they were apart well at the same time showing the unity they have now really sets the tone for where the story is going next.

Barbarella #1 is an awesome ride, reintroducing the audience to an iconic hero, at the same time introducing her to a new generation of readers. Blake Northcott does an excellent job of staying true to the character while still updating her for the modern era. The focus is on the story & action, well the sexually charged innuendos and humorous banter we expect from the character is still there front and center.

Barbarella #2 does an awesome job of building on the story from issue 1. Blake Northcott is expanding the world and not only continuing the initial story arc, but also building up whats to come. There is a perfect amount of action mixed with some witty comedy throughout this issue. Northcott is creating a great alternative to the usual hero story.

The Big Burn #3 is a fun ride with a really good espionage feel to it. The story has a lot of heart and even though our heroes are majorly flawed, they all win us over and have us root for their success. Joe Henderson does a great job of tapping into the human emotion that sets this story apart, all well not sacrificing the fun and dark humor that makes this book so entertaining. The teaser for a possible sequel at the end is great and a lot of fun.

Blood Train #1 is a brutal and gory horror comic with a lot of substance. Before the horror begins you get to know the group of friends and there is an air of mystery about the true horrors that break out. Adam Glass & Andrew Dabb do an amazing job of bringing this world to life. The narrative progresses swiftly, and just when you believe you have a firm understanding, it shifts direction, leading you through an even more intense experience.

This issue does an awesome job of continuing to introduce the guardians, well also finding interesting ways for them to find each other. David Pepose does an amazing job of making the reader care for the characters and their new journey in a strange city. The battles they encounter and engage in are very good and go to show they have a lot to learn. This makes for great development, instead of just making it so they can wield their powers perfectly out of the gate.

This issue does a marvelous job of continuing to introduce us to the team, well also moving the story forward. David Pepose really taps into the humanity of the team and the reality of throwing strangers together with all the challenges that it brings. At the same time, he shows the beginning of the character arcs for some of the Planeteers. Pepose as always does amazing at showing the real human drama within the characters he writes.

Issue four brings the reader into the psyche of the Planeteers, which really shows their character flaws and concerns. David Pepose does an awesome job of humanizing the characters and showing us that they have real life issues and problems, along with the weight of this immense responsibility. Letting the reader into the motivation and fears of the Planeteers really makes us feel closer to them. Just when you think that their personal trials are the worst of the worries, the final page reveals a much more fearsome villain is on the horizon.

This issue really highlights the villainous Plunder, while showing our heroes struggling to get it together. David Pepose does an excellent job of building up the threat of the villain in this issue, well milking the emotions for our heroes. The way Pepose makes Captain Pollution seem to be unstoppable; while making our heroes the ultimate underdogs really make the reader feel for them. The emotional tie ins with characters are one of Peposes strongest attributes as a writer, and it really shines in this issue.

This issue really brings the heat and amps up the action and emotions in a big way. David Pepose captures the emotions of the team and Captain Planet as they try and save the world and leaves the reader on the edge of their seat. The action is top notch, as the back-and-forth battle between Captain Planet and Captain Pollution is reminiscent of Rocky vs Drago. But equally as captivating is the Planeteers battle to save Gaia against all odds. Then you hit what happens at the end of the issue, and Pepose catches us all off guard with one of the most emotional twists of the year and possibly the decade.

Cruel Kingdom #1 is a great first book in this new line of anthologies from EC. Mixing the world of fantasy and fairy tales with the monkey paw style twists weve become accustomed to is a winning formula. You should definitely pick up a copy at your LCS this week.

Kill All Immortals II #3 really ups the ante in a powder keg that is already set to explode. The disfunction of the family mixed with their war with the Khan’s brings all of the drama and action that any reader can ever want. The layers of this story are amazing and will get you excited for what’s next. This is an absolute must pick up at the LCS this week and a no brainer to add to your Pull List now.

King Spawn is a great story with a great premise. Having a world where Al Simmons has lost his powers, but still fights the good fight is a ballsy move but pays off tremendously. Todd McFarlane has always thought outside of the box, but hes out done himself with this story in the best way possible.

Just then Carl wakes up in his modest apartment and is late for work. His boss at the financial firm Laney chastises him for being late. As he goes along with his mundane day, he can't shake the dream he had of being a superhero. At one point he cut his finger on a broken coffee pot, which makes him bandage it. Alone finally again in his apartment he passes out on his couch. At that point the Knight wakes up in his therapist's office, but the cut is still on his finger.

Knight City #2 continues to bring a unique take to a superhero comic book, well also pushing boundaries with the story and artwork. The character development is top tier and emerges the reader in this crazy and unique world. The way this issue ends is sure to bring readers back for the next issue. If you are looking for a different superhero story, look no further than Knight City when you are at the shop this week.

Cavan Scott does an excellent job of world building in this first issue of Night of the Slashers. He not only builds up this town of Hill Creek, and the crazy happenings. But he also does a great job of developing our main characters. He gives us a reason to care and have different emotions tied to them.

The real genius of this issue though is the uncertainty that Johns portrays at the end of the book. We spend the whole book with the realization of how dangerous Arnold is. But when we get to the final pages the clarity gets a little less clear. Is Benedict Arnold an evil immortal that wants all of the power in the world, or has a nap at the bottom of the harbor changed his mind and heart? This uncertainty about where Arnold stands will surely drive this arc going forward and certainly will create some awesome storylines from it with all the ways you could go with the story.

Seven Wives #1 is an awesome kickoff to this series and new imprint. The true crime mystery style really brings you in and keeps you engaged in the story, as well as makes you want more. The surprise turns and shocking reveals will really have people talking at the shops for sure. Make sure to get down to your Local Comic Shop or your preferred online store before Monday April 13th and order your copy, so you don’t miss out on this first series from this new imprint.

The threat that the main antagonist presents is only rivaled by the powers of Storm. The fact that Amaterasu gets the best of Storm in this first issue sets up what kind of challenge Ororo is up against. Making the threat feel real even when the hero is a God goes a long way to keep the interest of readers as the series goes on.

For a first issue this book packs a mighty punch. The backstory is laid out, characters are introduced, the plot deepens, and the twists keep coming. Kyle Starks creates a world that is familiar and very realistic. The tie ins with and between the characters makes for so many interesting avenues this series can go down. Giving away who the serial killers are in the first issue seemed like an interesting choice. That is until you get to the end of the issue and realize this book is doing something different.

Issue one was great, but issue two really ups the ante in a big way. Kyle Starks is not only building a world where two killers are competing, hes also making them human. This really separates this book from other similar books that have been done in the past. Besides the two killers, there is a great deal of build for the other characters in the story as well. The story weaving is masterful and keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Going into issue three, this series was on hot roll and steam rolling through a murder competition. However, issue three slows it down a bit and really builds up the human story. Kyle Starks does a fantastic job of showing us the love, respect, and friendship that our killers are building. Well at the same time, showing the real-world consequences of their double lives. Taking the foot off the gas in this issue was genius and much needed.

Every issue of this story seems to up the ante and this issue is no different. Kyle Starks does a great job of building and keeping suspense, all well humanizing the characters, even the killers. The violence and the length that hes willing to go to for the shock and awe of the reader is what sets his writing apart from others in the genre.

This issue puts a very pleasing end to a wonderful story. The ups and downs of the series are intensified in the concluding chapter. The action is robust, well the story is fitting of an epic. The ending is the right choice and leaves the reader satisfied. The way the tale weaves in and out is a testament to the talents of both Chip Zdarsky & David Brothers.

Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera #1 is an awesome first issue that really captures the essence of this timeless story, well adding some more horror to it. The story is familiar but just enough different to set up some interesting things as the series goes on. The artwork doesn’t miss and really brings this world to life. This is a must get at the shops this week and should be on the top of the additions to your Pull List. This book is my Pick of the Week and I’m sure it will be yours as well.

Universal Monsters: Phantom of the Opera #2 takes the story to the next level and builds up the jolted lover angle as well. This artwork in this book is hauntingly beautiful and immerses the reader in this world. Well, the story takes you on a journey through darkness and beauty. This is a wonderful series and should be on the top of everyone’s list at the shop this week. This is my Pick of the Week and should be yours too!

The artistic style might not suit all tastes, but it offers a whimsical twist on horror that makes it memorable. Readers looking for lively and visually captivating art will probably appreciate what this book has to offer.

Exorcism Island #5 wraps up and ends the series on the highest of highs. The drama, violence, action, and suspense fire on all cylinders. The moral questions this issue raises really sets it apart from any other book out there today. If you are looking for a different kind of horror story with a unique art style this is the series for you. Head over to Comixology and check out this series today!

This is a great first issue of this TMNT spinoff series. Dan Watters does an amazing job of bringing back one of the most iconic villains of all time. Watters does an even better job of putting Shredder in a new situation that we havent seen him in, the role of anti-hero. The book wastes very little time on bringing the reader up to speed and moves at a great pace. My only detraction is Shredders refusal to take the new high-tech gear they provided him with. However, depending on where the story goes next this can become a non-issue.

Shredder #2 does an awesome job of moving the story forward, well at the same time showing that the Shredder is still a legit badass. Anyone who thought they would hold back on the character in this series has been proven wrong with the actions of Shredder in this book. The TMNT Universe has been firing on all cylinders, and this series is following suit. This is a must read for TMNT fans and should definitely be added to your Pull List when you head out to the LCS this week.

Shredder #3 is another awesome issue in this awesome series. The story is intriguing and full of suspense as the reader is taken on a hell of a ride. Couple this with some of the best action sequences in comics with a gratuitous amount of violence, and you have the makings of one of the most kick ass books on the shelves.

Shredder #4 is yet another strong installment in this series and continues to keep readers intrigued and wanting more. The closer we get to learning the Mourners' true plans, the more suspense the story builds. This is one of the best TMNT spinoff books in publication currently. If you are looking for a good anti-hero story that has plenty of action, this series is for you.

Shredder #5 takes the reader on one heck of a rollercoaster ride. This issue delivers drama, action, humor, and a surprise reveal at the end. This series has been consistently one of the best series on the market. If you haven’t been reading this series, you are definitely missing out. Make sure not to miss anymore and grab a copy at the LCS this week.

Shredder #6 finishes this initial part of the story with a bang and is sure to excite every reader. The drama is top tier and hooks the reader, while the violence and action keep you thirsty for more. The set up for the continuation of this series is well thought out and will have everyone cheering it on. This series is fantastic and this issue is no different. If you are not reading this series, grab a copy and give it a shot this week.

However, the most genius move in this whole issue is Kirkman's reveal of who is behind the attack and the reasoning. Abandoning the normal hatred and world domination trope of the villain and replacing it with an "I'm doing this for all of you and your benefit motive is a wonderful choice that makes the next steps endless in their possibilities. Not to mention the gut punch of the individual behind it all.

Capes #4 brings the reader into the next era of the team, well capturing all the emotions and humor that make this series great. The questions that are left unanswered set up intrigue for where the story is going. At the same time adding a huge and new threat to pump up the action is a sure-fire way to grab any readers’ attention. This series has been fantastic and there are no signs of it slowing down. If you haven’t jumped on board with this series already, grab a copy at the shop this week, and add it to your Pull List.

Capes #5 brings the action and never takes its foot off the gas. With action from front to back the reader has no chance to become bored. My only issue with this action-packed issue is that the funny and humorful scenes that we’ve become accustomed to in this series take a back seat this issue. However, the issue still fires on all cylinders and is definitely worthy of you grabbing a copy at the LCS this week.

The Punisher #1 is an awesome start of this new ongoing series. The Punisher is one of the most popular comic book vigilantes of all time and it’s awesome to see the launch of this latest series. The creative team involved in this series seems to really get the character and world, so we will be on one hell of a ride. This is a must-have issue, and a no-brainer add to your Pull List when you visit your LCS this week.

This first issue lays down the groundwork for whats to come in this series. You are introduced to the 13 families, the 13 killers, and our group of unsuspecting towns people. The basic outline of the game is also laid out, so you understand it, but it leaves some things open for surprises later. James Tynion IV does a fantastic job of laying down this groundwork and setting the expectations for where this series is going to go.

This second issue picks up where the first left off. We get to see the aftermath of the first killer being taken out from the perspective of the elite. At the same time the suspense builds as the other killers close in on the town, and how the townspeople react as they become aware something strange is afoot. Michael Walsh picks up the story flawlessly and really delivers some great action and even better storytelling.

Issue three does an excellent job of bringing the reader closer to the minds of the characters that are featured. Pornsak Pichetshote does a great job of humanizing characters and letting the reader get an insight into their emotions.Pichetshote includes significant elements of violence and horror in the issue, featuring a scene that suggests unsettling events may have occurred. The only flaw in this book is its slightly uneven pacing, which is noticeable but doesn't significantly affect the story's quality.

Issue four once again delivers one hell of an action-packed thrill ride. Che Grayson steps in and really hits the reader with some suspense, mystery, and of course carnage. The connection between the Lady and the Fox lends itself to something bigger. At the same time showing some behind the scenes stuff with the cleaner really brings yet another aspect to the game. The violence is also turned up and you get the sense that this town is on the brink of collapse.

This issue takes an unexpectedly positive turn. A love affair between killers was not what anyone wouldve expected, but here we are. Jordie Bellaire does a wonderful job of bringing this pyro-infused relationship to life. Bellaire also highlights the effects and survival of the townspeople in this crazy situation and really brings a sense of hopelessness to the survivors. The horror and confrontation in this issue are some of the best in this series so far.

Exquisite Corpses #6 continues to have readers on the edge of their seats as the story progresses and gets crazier. The violence and horror are always on point, but where this issue stands out is from the hart shown in the non-killer characters. The ability of a series centered around a killing gamewhere viewers are encouraged to support the antagoniststo also evoke empathy for potential victims is indicative of the story's remarkable quality. If you are not reading Exquisite Corpses currently, you should head down to the LCS and pick up this issue and give this series a shot.

Exquisite Corpses #9 marks a significant step toward the conclusion of the first season of this series. By highlighting what is at stake and introducing new, meaningful developments to the narrative, this issue serves as an essential component in the lead-up to forthcoming events. For readers who have not yet read Exquisite Corpses, this is an opportune moment to grab Volume 1 in trade paperback and familiarize yourself with the story before the highly anticipated conclusion unfolds.

Exquisite Corpses #10 really builds up a great deal of suspense and brings the series one step closer to the season one finale. This issue brings the action and suspense that we’ve become accustomed to in this series, well at the same time throwing a monkey wrench into what we thought was going to happen. This is consistently one of the best series on the shelves of the LCS and that streak continues with this issue.

Exquisite Corpses #11 brings the series to a new climax and there are still two issues left! The carnage, violence, and drama are turned all the way up and are ready to explode. The table is set perfectly for the finish. If you have been reading Exquisite Corpses this issue is a real treat and will have you pumped for the final issues.

This first issue of The Lycan does an amazing job of building a world and leaving the reader in suspense about what will happen next. The writing team does a great job of developing the characters, well keeping enough in the darkness to keep the reader guessing. The name of the book keeps you on the lookout for Lycans, but the fact that they never show up in this issue makes the suspense that much more impactful.

The Lycan #3 does a great job of building on the suspense thats been built up over the past issues. As we get closer to finding out what the mystery is, Mike Carey does a better job of teasing us more. The suspense from page to page, and even panel to panel is fantastic. As the story continues to develop, the readers speculation can only grow.

The Lycan #4 builds the suspense of the story to a fever pitch. Mike Carey finally gives us the reveal weve been clamoring for, and then immediately ups the ante. At the same time Carey shows that the humans in this world are as evil as the wolves, and just as dangerous. The layers that have played out in this story have the reader begging for the conclusion.

The Lycan #5 is a nearly perfect penultimate issue and really drives home the importance of reading the final issue. Just when the reader thinks they have finally figured out all the mysteries of this series, Carey hits us with one more right before the end. This series has been fantastic and should have an amazing final issue on the way. Open Comixology, dive into this right away, and get ready for the series finale.

The Lycan #6 closes out the series with a meaningful and satisfactory ending. The final issue leaves no questions unanswered and closes on a perfect romantic note. This series has been awesome and a lot of fun, mixing genres seamlessly. Head over to Comixology and check this series out today, you won't regret it.

Is Ted OK? #1 introduces the reader to this crazy world and doesn’t disappoint. This first issue is shrouded in mystery and nails the vibes perfectly. The story is out there and keeps the reader guessing throughout the issue. Once you dive into this world it’s hard to pull yourself back out. If you are looking for something different and intriguing at the shop this week, this is the book for you. But be warned, once you enter this world you will be on the edge of your seat for the next issue.

Is Ted OK? #2 continues to drive a wedge between what is real and what is not. This really makes this story unique and builds up a different kind of suspense as we move forward. The unique and crazy nature of this story is its strongest attribute and the best-selling point for any reader to check it out. If you are looking for something new and different, grab a copy at the shop this week.

Smile: For the Camera #1 does an excellent job of kicking off this new series and reeling the reader into the world. This issue focuses on making the reader build a relationship with our main protagonist and does a superb job of it. The horrors may be less in this first issue, but what we get is very impactful and makes the reader anticipate what’s to come. If you like horror, this is a must get when you visit the shop this week. After you read this first issue, you will most definitely add this series to your Pull List.

ThunderCats #9 continues this wonderful new arc for the 1980s icons known as the ThunderCats. Declan Shalvey does a great job of not only building a new world and story, but also keeping the characters familiar to longtime fans. The pacing of the story is impeccable and spreading the wealth amongst all the different characters makes them all feel important.

ThunderCats #10 takes a pause from focusing on the ThunderCats and puts the spotlight on the villainous Lord Slithe. Declan Shalvey makes the reader understand what Slithes motivations are and in a lot of ways makes the reader have empathy for the villain. This choice for the issue was a gamble, but the gamble paid off and then some. Not many stories spend an extended period exploring the back stories of their villains, but they should as this issue proves it is a great way to world build.

ThunderCats #11 builds on the epic story that has been built in this current arc. Upping the ante with not just the beginning of a main event rivalry, but also building the romance between Tygra & Cheetara. Declan Shalvey is doing an awesome job of making us love these characters, well at the same time building to a powder keg of a battle.

ThunderCats #12 sets the pace for where the story is headed in 2025. Declan Shalvey establishes the tone and upcoming challenges for future issues. The way he weaves in four different threads seamlessly to form this issue is very impressive. Story building issues can be hard on arcs as they are usually filler. However, this issue excels in story building while maintaining sufficient intrigue to keep the reader engaged.

ThunderCats #13 has very few words and is told primarily through art and the art delivers and some. Drew Moss brings this adventure to life with his beautiful set and character designs. Telling a story with mostly art is challenging but nailed by this art team. Pignedoli & La Pietra uses their colors to make everything jump off the page. Cant praise this art team enough for the work on this issue.

ThunderCats #15 steps up the drama and action involving Lion-O. Declan Shalvey does an incredible job of showing us the journey from captive to free in this wild and dangerous land. The turn and introduction of Apex to Lion-O ups the ante even more. The big reveal really brings you in, but the uncertain future is what will hook the readers for the long run.

ThunderCats #16 picks up where the last issue left off, well adding some more stakes to the story. Declan Shalvey does a fantastic job giving us the very cool Knights of Thundera, well also upping the threat level to our heroes. The threat of the bad guys joining forces, with the still missing Lion-O build up the tensions of the story. The revelation on the final page will have some interesting fallout in issues to come.

ThunderCats #17 ups the emotional ante, well at the same time delivering tremendous action and an awesome reveal. Declan Shalvey really takes the story to the next level, continuing to build this amazing world along the way. Shalvey has really mastered the world of the ThunderCats and with this new lore has really brought the franchise to a new level of prominence. The pacing of this issue, much like the series, is just phenomenal.

ThunderCats #18 really brings us into the emotional side of the story. Obviously, there is the love triangle, but that is flanked by Pantheros battle within himself over his injuries. Also, Slythes revenge, how Apex fits in, and the general disfunctions that have been building up in the ThunderCats camp since Lion-Os disappearance. Declan Shalvey is masterfully bringing all these threads to the forefront, while also tying them together in a nice concise package. The layers of this story really pull the reader in and dont let you go.

ThunderCats #19 showcases the problems that are facing our heroes and puts them on centerstage. The drama has really ramped up the story, well also highlighting the need to find Lion-O. As this series ramps up, so should the interest to read it. Get to your LCS and grab this issue, grab some back issues, and add this series to your Pull List now.

ThunderCats #20 although a little slower paced, still captures the greater story at hand. The revelations of this issue will surely tie into what is happening with the Cats in this present time. As this story gets deeper, it never disappoints with the great reveals. If this series isn't already on your Pull List, you should really consider adding it, as the story is simply fantastic.

ThunderCats #21 is a fantastic journey that really pays off the return of Lion-O. Every part of the story in this issue invokes different emotions and nails each one of them. The emotions run high, the action is great, and most importantly the surprises make the reader want more.

ThunderCats: Apex #1 introducesus to one of the darkest and most badass characters in the entire ThunderCats Universe. This is a twist in the story that no one saw coming, but all will be rewarded with where this goes. Ed Brisson does an amazing job telling the origin story and revealing this tremendous character named Apex, well setting the table for whats coming in ThunderCats moving forward.

TMNT: Casey Jones #4 is an emotional ride that highlights the highs and lows of medicated improvement. The message about what addiction looks like is not missed on the readers for sure. This series has been incredible, and this issue follows suit perfectly. This book and series are a must pick up at the shop this week.

TMNT: Casey Jones #5 provides a thoughtful examination of the challenges of coping with one’s past. The narrative delivers a clear message regarding the realities of conquering addiction. Consistent with previous installments, this issue maintains the series' high standards and is a recommended addition for readers to pick up at the LCS this week.

TMNT: Casey Jones #6 is a fitting conclusion to this mini-series that is not only filled with action, but also a lot of emotion. The writing and art team has done an amazing job with this series and goes out on an equally high note that this series has performed at. The only disappointing part of this series is that it’s over with no current plans for a next chapter. Head to the LCS and grab a copy of this issue or wait until the TPB hits the shelves. Either way, you will not be disappointed with this story and will surely enjoy the series as a whole.

The second issue of Free Planet really delves more into the world of Lutheria. Showing us more about how the world runs, and the politics behind it. Aubrey Sitterson does a fantastic job of giving the reader a detailed journey into this world. Well at the same time getting us familiar with our main characters and what makes them tick.

Free Planet #3 continues to grow this awesome and intriguing world that has been created for us. An equally smart and entertaining story that tells what it is like to start a new and free planet. As the story goes on and we meet more characters and become closer to the main characters we are growing to love, this story takes it's real shape. This is a must read and a must add to your Pull List at the LCS.

Godzilla: HTBD #4 continues this awesome epic in a big way. This book has some great reveals and even better art. Alternative history stories always hit the spot for me. Then you add in Kaiju, and you had me at hello. Run to your LCS pick up this issue and the 3 before it and enjoy the ride through history.

Godzilla HTBD #5 is a great next chapter in this awesome series. If you are a Kaiju fan, Godzilla fan, history fan, or just a fan of great stories this is a book and series for you.

The Exorcism at 1600 Penn #2 really kicks this story into another gear. This issue wastes no time upping the ante, well also leaving enough things in the shadows to be revealed in future issues. Hannah Rose May is bringing this fully original story with some great social commentaries to life.

Issue three really turns the heat up on the story. Hannah Rose May weaves in the possession with the fear of war seamlessly. Each character has their own trajectory and there is a clear point where all those arcs will cross. The last few pages of this issue bring everything into perspective and leaves the reader wanting more.

Moon Dogs #1 is an awesome read, with not only a great story, but also a great message. Tananarive Due mixes in the very real world message of being treated differently and less than because of being "different with a really good werewolf tale. The message is intertwined so well into this story that it never is over bearing, but at the same time it is ever present. A true masterful work.

This story is a wonderful mix of Evil Dead and Blerd culture. J. Holtham does a fantastic job of bringing the story to life and mixing a message into an entertaining horror comedy story. The comedy brings levity to a strong message, well the horror doesnt take a backseat at all.

Godzilla #1 is a great start to a brand-new era of this amazing franchise. Tim Seely does an amazing job of shaping this new world and mythology. Taking the original story, we all know and love, but then infusing it with some deeper and unique elements that make the story feel fresh. The groundwork that was laid down in this issue will make the reader excited for whats to come in this new line.

Godzilla #2 picks up where issue one left off and continues to reveal more about this new Kai-Sei Era. Benito Cereno does an excellent job of rolling out the new rules to this world. Revealing elements as we go along, while still holding some secrets back, which builds up an excitement for whats to come. The somewhat mysterious element of the story so far leaves a world of possibilities. Cereno is doing a fantastic job of rolling out this Kai-Sei Era.

Godzilla #3 not only focuses on the battle against the Kaiju but also shows the differences in opinions in how humanity should handle these monsters. Tim Seeley does an excellent job of showing different philosophies and not judging which one is better than the other, allowing the reader to choose for themselves. The action is solid, but the human drama and build in tension is the real winner of the story in this issue. Seeley is painting a beautiful world with the story and an entertaining one with the action.

Godzilla #4 really moves the story forward well keeping some motivations mysterious, which really builds up the suspense. As the story ramps up, the mythos keeps growing, which is setting the Kai-Sei Era apart from every other iteration of the Godzilla franchise. This series has delivered and then some and should be on everyone's Pull List.

Godzilla #6 delivers in every aspect, and it is exactly how you should end an arc, well setting up for what's to come. The action, drama, and suspense keep the reader engaged throughout the book. Then you get to the end and see the tease of what's to come, and it excites and energizes you for the next chapter in the Kai-Sei Era. This is my Pick of the Week and should be the first thing you grab at the LCS this week!

But the biggest suspense builder is this new dynamic with Jacen and the spirit of Godzilla for lack of better term. Is Jacen possessed by Godzilla, or is he able to project and become Godzilla, or is it something entirely different. Seeley does an awesome job of showing us the connection but not revealing what we are truly seeing. This builds up interest and suspense for the next issue and makes this series a must add to everyone's Pull List.

Godzilla #8 really builds on this new arc in the series. The internal conflict between Jace and Godzilla is matched by the motives of May. As Seeley sets up for these worlds to collide, the reader will reap the rewards of the story. The art is top tier and keeps you turning the pages. If you haven’t picked up an issue of this series yet, this is the week to give it a shot and grab a copy at the shop.

Godzilla #9 has a ton of action but is also packed with a lot of heart. This series has been great at entertaining with amazing fight scenes, well also delivering some well-placed drama, and this issue continues that trend. The Kai-Sei Era has been a different and fresh take on the Godzilla mythos and has really delivered in my opinion. If you are looking for something that is familiar well also feeling fresh and new, this series is definitely for you. Grab a copy at the Comic Shop this week and give this story a chance.

This first issue brings a lot to the table and really catches the reader with its mystery and suspense. Tyler Boss brings the Giallo sub-genre of horror to the comic book pages to great effect. The intrigue of what is actually going on brings the reader in like a moth to a flame. Connecting minor dots without revealing the full and true story works in the books benefit and makes you want more.

Issue number two really gives the reader there first peak into the backstory of the previous killer. Tyler Boss does an excellent job of building suspense well also revealing a masterful mystery. The build up is perfectly paced to mix the violence in with that whodunit mystery that keeps the reader completely engrossed in the story.

This third issue slows the pace of the story quite a bit. But with the slower pace we get a lot more suspense and intrigue. Tyler Boss does a fantastic job of building up some great edge of your seat suspense. Mix that with a great deal of mystery that makes you question what is and isnt real. The cliffhanger that gets dropped on the final page is absolutely a perfect way to build up the intrigue for the next issue.

This issue really takes the reader on a ride and makes you question what is going on, and who is really the killer. The complete confusion makes you want to read more to get more clues. Tyler Boss is doing an amazing job of blurring those lines and really drawing the reader in. As the story unfolds more, it feels like we are still further away from solving the mystery. Which builds a great deal of suspense and surprise.

This issue sets the table for the final issue and builds suspense to a crescendo. Tyler Boss taps into a Silence of the Lambs feel and really delivers on a final twist before the conclusion next month. This issue, much like the series, has done an excellent job of keeping the reader guessing what will happen next. Going into the final issue, and we are still not sure of how it will end.

This final issue was packed full of suspense and what the heck moments. Tyler Boss puts on a masterclass on how to build suspense, as he keeps the readers on the edge of their seats for nearly the entire final issue. The reveal of who the real killer is makes a lot of sense and fits the story perfectly. My only qualm with the finish is there is a lot of what ends up being pointless dialogue into the build up of the actual finish. But the finale raps strong with an Afterword that gives me serious American Psycho vibes.

The first issue of The Phantom dives right into the story and hits the ground running. Ray Fawkes wastes no time putting the reader in the thick of things, well giving enough backstory for those who may not know the character. This method makes for an exciting first issue that skips past the things that usually bog down a first issue. The action comes hot and heavy which really makes for a fun and exciting read. Couple that with an intense cliffhanger ending, and you have a homerun of a first issue.

The Phantom #2 is a great ride and shows a lot of promise for what this series has in store. Although the action is great, the cunning and smart nature of the characters really gets the reader hooked. If you didn't give the first issue a shot, it's time to jump on board with issue two.

The Phantom #4 may change the focus of the story from the Phantom to Guran, but this only strengthens the resolve of the story. The brave nature of Guran shows that even a normal man can do extraordinary things when pushed to the limit. As the story moves forward it will be all hands on deck if the village has any hopes of surviving. This suspense is the best reason to grab an issue and enjoy the story this week.

The Phantom #5 ends this initial arc in a satisfactory way, delivering some awesome action. This story arc has been full of suspense and action, and this final issue follows suit. The Phantom has been a pleasure to read, mixing old school comic style with a modern day feel. If you haven’t read this arc from the beginning, make sure to grab the TPB when it drops later in the year.

This first issue is a lot of fun and really sets the tone for what will inevitably be a super entertaining series. Amanda Conner & Jimmy Palmiotti really capture the essence of both main characters well having a ton of fun in the process. In a world of writers who try and make characters overly serious, this fun take is a breath of fresh air. The ridiculous premise really opens up the possibilities of where this story will go. The sexual based humor is funny and never feels cringy or in bad taste.

The vibrant, warm color palette further enriches the narrative, making the comic even more enjoyable. Altogether, these artistic decisions shape a distinct mood that enhances both the humor and action throughout the issue.

Harley Quinn x Elvira #5 is another hilarious and fun issue that this series has become known for. Well possibly being one of the most fun issues of the series, it ends with an impactful and shock ending. This being the penultimate issue really benefits the story going into the final issue. Although even with the cliffhanger ending, I still feel like there is something missing coming into the finale. Overall, this is still one of the most fun series on the shelves and will surely entertain you.

A major plus for this issue is the epilogue that ends the book. This teases a new story/series to follow and really hypes up the reader for it. To come off a successful run and be able to switch gears and excite readers for what's to come is a real feather in the cap to Ward. I for one will be waiting for this next installment.

Event Horizon: Inferno #1 is an awesome first issue of a series that is sure to make every horror comic fan rejoice. The story is made up of the nightmare fuel that we have come to expect from this franchise. Fans of the Event Horizon franchise will be very happy with this story and on the edge of their seats for more. But even if you are not a fan of the franchise you will be drawn in by the story and entranced by the artwork. Make sure to get down to your Local Comic Shop or your preferred online store before Monday March 16th and order your copy of the first issue so you don’t miss out on what promises to be one of the best horror series of 2026.

Babs is like if The Legend of Vox Machina had a love child with Big Mouth. This book will make you laugh. But also makes you care about Babs and leaves enough mystery to hook you. This is going to be a slam dunk addition to my pull list.

Babs #2 steps up all that we fell in love with in the first issue. The adult humor and misadventures hit the spot on every page of this issue. Garth Ennis takes time to do some world building in this issue and provides us with some great character building along the way.

Babs #3 is a great continuation of the series. We learn more about Babs, while going on an action-filled adventure. The building up of the relationship between Lord Tiberius and the Dudez increases the threat for our hero. Garth Ennis takes us on a journey filled with action, laughs, and a message to boot.

Babs #4 keeps the hits coming. Garth Ennis has created an amazing fantasy adventure world, with an awesome amount of adult humor mixed throughout. Issue four has a little bit of everything, great story build, hilarious moments, adventure, and even a grizzly murder on the high seas. The fact there is an underlying message under the surface of this story speaks volumes for Garth's writing and this book.

Babs #5 delivers the funny, action, and drama that weve come to expect from this series. Garth Ennis seamlessly takes issues of our world and melds them into this story. The gutter humor is on point as it usually, and the action in this issue is top notch as well.

Babs #6 is a fitting end to this fun fantasy epic. Garth Ennis stays true to the groundwork he has laid down throughout this run. Issue 6 gives us some of the biggest laughs, best battles, and even a fitting happy ending (pun intended). The bloody battle mixed in with the vulgar humor are a match made in heaven.

Babs: The Black Road South #1 is a super fun and entertaining read. If this series is half as fun as the original run, we are in for one hell of a fun ride. Go order the trade of the first run as you won't regret it and grab this issue at the LCS then add this to your Pull List as well.

Babs: The Black Road South #2 is another fun issue in this series. The tone and pace of this new story arc makes for a very enjoyable read. The dirty humor in this issue and series is what the reader comes for, and it never disappoints. If you are looking for a fun and entertaining series look no further than Babs. Grab a copy at the LCS and prepare to laugh out loud.

Babs: The Black Road South #3 is an entertaining and fun story that definitely delivers laughs. The issue stays true to the series and brings the fun throughout. The slower pace of the issue takes a little away but doesn’t hurt the series overall. If you are looking for a fun and different story this series is for you.

This story has a familiar feel to it but hits you with intrigued and a few curve balls. Kelly Sue DeConnick does a great job of capturing teenage angst, as well as also making us instantly care about our main characters. This issue sets the table for the series, but you realize that DeConnick hasnt even stepped on the gas yet, which is very exciting.

FML #2 stepped up the mystery and at the same time revealed just a little more to the story. Kelly Sue DeConnick is weaving a wonderful story that is unfolding before our eyes. The slow burn of the story and reveals leaves you on the edge of your seat and wanting more.

This issue continues to weave the dual story that has been going strong since issue one. On one side you have Riley and his friends, who are in a band and going through normal teenage angst. Of course there is the whole Riley has become a monster. Then you have the other story, featuring Rileys mom Patty and her sisterhood. They are looking for their friend Kat and all the weird occult things they are into. It is seamless and a pure accomplishment.

FML #4 really builds out the story and brings us closer to the family and friends. At the same time the fourth wall breaks are pure comedic gold. Kelly Sue DeConnick does an excellent job of mixing humor in with the heart felt story. But also, she doesnt allow you to forget this book still has a mystery thriller element behind it as well.

FML #5 slows the story down a bit but reveals some important keys to where the story is heading. Kelly Sue DeConnick does an excellent job of bringing the reader even closer to the characters. As the story nears an end, more mysteries are being revealed, and connections are starting to make sense.

FML #6 ramps the story back up and really gets the reader on the edge of their seat. Kelly Sue DeConnick does an amazing job of building up the tension in this issue, well at the same time putting in some light humor to break that tension a bit. DeConnick has really brought the reader along for one heck of a ride and doesnt appear to be laying off. As the story draws closer to the end, the swerves and jokes keep on coming.

FML #7 serves as an exemplary penultimate issue, raising anticipation for the concluding installment. The narrative stakes are at their peak, emphasizing the importance of a satisfying resolution to the story. I look forward to the final issue and remain optimistic about its conclusion. This issue is highly recommended for readers seeking a compelling experience as the series reaches its climax.

D’ORC #2 is a really fun and hilarious adventure story. The jokes and humor hit throughout the book; well, the action is also fun and on point. The overall story has a great message but never gets preachy due to the hilarious content within the story. If you can find a copy of this book, grab it well you are at the shop this week, as this one will be going fast.

D’ORC #3 continues this fun story and adds some more adventure as well. The situations that D’orc finds himself in are a lot of fun and are even more humorous when the reader gets to see his solutions to said situations. This is definitely one of the most fun series in the shops today and never disappoints. If you are looking for a fun and easy read that takes you on an adventure, this is the book for you. Grab this issue at the LCS this week and prepare to have a lot of fun.

In this first issue of the spinoff to the Speed Racer book, we get a lot of backstory that catches us up to speed on what is going on. Mark Russell does a great job of not only giving us the backstory of Racer X but also giving us the tie into the Speed Racer series. Coming into this book we all had a feeling that Racer X was Rex Racer, but how Russell tells the tale really makes a big difference. Knowing the backstory and motivation for Racer X sets the tone for where this story will go.

Racer X #2 does a great job of moving the Racer X story forward, well further connecting it to what's going on in the main run of Speed Racer. It's the true definition of a spin off because its entire goal is to give extra context and knowledge the reader needs for the main story. If you haven't checked out the Speed Racer line, this is a good opportunity to jump in and check it out.

Racer X #5 is an incredible return for the series and picks right up where the series left off. The pure evilness of Dante Ferno takes center stage in this issue. But don’t worry as there is still plenty of amazing racing action. If you haven’t been reading this series this is a great time to jump in. So, grab a copy at the LCS this week and see if you’ve found your new favorite series.

This issue puts our main characters in some precarious situations. Ed Brisson does an excellent job of building up the situation and then raising the stakes even more. As our heroes go from one bad situation to the next, we get a better feel for who they are, and what they stand for. The crazy story plays out damn near perfectly and has the reader on the edge of their seat by the end.

This issue ramps up the story well delivering some kick-ass action along the way. Ed Brisson has done a fantastic job with building these characters and the world around them. Making a world adjacent to a known and beloved franchise can be challenging, but Brisson is absolutely crushing it. Dropping a massive surprise at the end, that will have some incredible repercussions going forward, is just the cherry on top.

This is a great crossover issue, connecting what is going on in ThunderCats: Lost as well as the main ThunderCats series. Ed Brisson does a fantastic job of telling the tale of Bengali and his survival on Third Earth. Catching the readers of both lines up on what happened in between where we are today and even including tying in ThunderCats: Apex. Bringing the worlds together really makes the story make more and complete sense.

The Journey of the Lost team really takes a turn in this issue. Ed Brisson does a great job of building the constant threat of this world, well not abandoning any characters that have been established up to this point. Brisson has really expanded the ThunderCats universe and continues to push the envelope into what you can do in said universe. Even in an issue that takes a step back, the entertainment level along with the action keeps the reader captivated.

ThunderCats: Lost #7 really ups the ante for the Lost Team and puts them in super compromised positions. As their survival is threatened and it seems like the world is closing in on them, it really sets up some interesting conclusions. My only holdback is its overwhelming nature, which may not even be a big deal depending on what is next. If you are looking for a solid series, look no further and give it a shot if you are not already reading it.

ThunderCats: Lost #10 is a fitting finale for this Thundercats side story. The issue is full of action, emotion, and twists. This book not only serves as an end to this side story, but also as a jumping off point to a crossover, and what is to come in the main line of Thundercats. This is series that if you didn't read as it was going on, you should definitely keep your eyes out for the trade when it drops. For those of us who have been on this awesome journey, this issue leaves us with a wonderful closure to this chapter.

Alien vs Captain America #3 is another great installment of this crossover event. The seamless way that the Xenomorphs fit into the Marvel Universe is impressive. If you are a fan of the Alien franchise you will not be disappointed with this series as it treats that universe with a ton of respect. At the same time if you are a fan of Captain America this also stays true to that universe as well.

The way Burnham treats both franchises with the respect they rightfully deserve is incredible. He stays true to the characters and the deep lore we already know about each franchise. This makes the crossover feel less forced and more natural. Not to mention it doesn't favor one over the other, which sets the story up to be a true crossover for both, instead of just one playing in others world.

Archie x The Army of Darkness #2 is a fun thrill ride full of humor and antics. The story is simplistic, but effective and concise with delivering massive amounts of entertainment. Not every series or book needs to be serious, and this issue proves fun and entertainment are just as effective with engaging readers. If you are looking for a fun series, this is the series for you. Pick up this issue at the shop this week and add this title to your Pull List as well.

Archie x The Army of Darkness #3 continues the fun nature of this series well moving the plot forward. Even though the action takes a back seat in this issue it doesn’t lose any of its quirky charm. This has been a very fun series and this issue more than lives up to that. This is a fun book that should be on everyone’s list when they visit the LCS this week.

Next up is a tale of two sisters whose family moves into a troubled house. The two sisters have a troubling relationship. The older sister Katherine is jealous of her younger sister Agnes. Katherine thinks her sister gets whatever she wants and that is unfair to her. One day Katherine bullies her sister during a tea party. She threatens to throw Agnes favorite doll off a cliff but ends up throwing Agnes off instead. Now she has what she wants except for the doll that seems to hold a secret.

The Creepshow: Holiday Special 2024 is a fun read that you won't regret reading. However, if you are looking for something that is an actual holiday special, this is not for you. Horror fans should grab this one for a fun read when you visit your LCS. Holiday season fans can leave it in on the shelf.

Creepshow #1 is an amazing return to comics for this beloved franchise. This issue incapsulates what we love about the Creepshow franchise and horror anthologies. Get to your LCS and make sure to leave with a copy of Creepshow #1!

The second tale features content creators Tre, Marcus, and Danielle are talking the urban legend of the haunting of the Kingswood Projects. After Marcus calls out Tre, he decides he will go spend the night alone in the projects. Unfortunately, Tre goes missing and Marcus feels bad and heads out to find him. Will he find Tre? Will he make it back? Read the story to find out.

Creepshow continues to be one of the best horror anthologies on the market today. The two story setup, with relatable and thrilling stories is a perfect formula for entertainment. This is a book that I look forward to monthly.

A Luchadora loses her mask in a very important match. This makes her feel like she has let her family legacy down. To repair this, she decides to don the mask of her legendary father. Her Aunt forewarns her that this is a bad idea, and that her father was forever changed by this mask. By ignoring these warnings, she may meet the same fate.

The Killing Hole is a slow burn tale that when you get to the end it throws you a curve ball. The character development is amazing and by the end you feel for the main characters that youve grown to know. Steve Niles does an awesome job creating the entire world you get immersed in.

Destro #3 was an awesome read and as one question gets answered another presents itself. Destro is becoming one of the best parts of an already robust Energon Universe. This book gets high recommendations, and the best is still to come.

Destro #4 does an awesome job of continuing the origin story of one of the best villains from the world of G.I Joe. Dan Watters takes some chances and gambles on running a story that has so many layers. His gamble, however, pays off in a big way and leaves you wanting more. The last page surprise appearance really sets the table for where this story will go next.

Destro #5 continues one of the best origin stories in the Energon Universe. This book has been a must read since issue #1. Make sure before the next chapter in the Energon Saga kicks off, you read this series!

The first issue of this series is very good and sets the table for whats to come. Brian Buccellato creates this world that is equal parts family drama and Highlander. This creates a very familiar, yet brand new story that brings the reader on a ride. The introduction to the family and beginning to understand their motives of each one of them paints an intriguing picture. This story can go in so many directions, which really makes for a promising series.

This book from story one through story four holds the reader's interest. The concept of stories that all end with a "wicked twist is also super cool. Each story has art that is unique to that story, helping to separate each story. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and will be making sure issue #2 is on my pull list.

Cruel Universe #2 packs a real punch. Four different tales tied together by great monkey paw style twists. This is becoming one of my absolute favorite books and we are only on issue #2. The classic feel of the storytelling, mixed with the nostalgic art style makes Cruel Universe a must for your Pull Lists at your LCS!

Cullen Bunn is tuned into the social conscious in this story. He takes us on a journey where the trappings of being better really get skewed. This tale is the perfect ending note on what is a very inciteful issue.

Godzilla Heist #1 is a fresh take on a classic monster. Van Jensen has come up with a completely original story involving one of the greatest monsters in pop culture. Just when you think you know where the story is going in this first issue, we get a complete swerve and a reveal of a popular Godzilla foe. All of that and this is just issue number one.

Ice Cream Man #42 is a fun one-shot horror trip. W. Maxwell Princeputs together a good tale that is entertaining but also delivers some poignant messages. The fact that the story involves real life issues that affect us all, well at the same time delivering an entertaining horror story, deserves a hat off to the writer. Another great aspect of the story is the writer breaking the fourth wall for the entirety of the book. It adds extra insights, at the same time bringing some levity to the story.

This issue is jam packed with super talented writers who bring something different to each page. Ice Cream Mans creator and full-time writer W. Maxwell Prince has multiple stories in this issue, which really ties in the lore of the series. Besides the writers mentioned in the previous section, we also get stories from Deniz Camp, Zoe Thorogood, Jeff Lemire, Frank Barbiere, and Good Old Neon. Some tales outshine others, but all of them capture a different voice and tone. There is literally something for everybody in this story.

Killadelphia #35 is not your average horror book. It has layers and tells a very human tale. Rodney Barnes really makes you care for the characters in this book. You feel like they are people who would live in your neighborhood. He even brings humanity to Blacula and makes the reader understand the complex truth of his story.

Local Man #25 is a great read and has me hooked on this series going forward. It has a tremendous story and phenomenal art. This may have been my first foray into Local Man, but I promise it won't be the last.

Pretty Hate Machine #1 sets the tone for what this series has to offer. The mystery and intrigue give way to the horror and gore then back again. There is enough revealed that you can follow the story, well also leaving enough to mystery to hook you in for the ride. This is a solid mystery horror book and should be on the top of your list if those genres are what you’re looking for.

In Racers Day Off, Speed Racer is taking a much-needed restful day off. So, what else are Sprittle and Chim-Chim to do but steal the Mach 5 and go on some fun adventures. After racing an ice cream truck, getting revenge on a bully, and even invading a Monster Truck rally. Sprittle ends the day in a high-speed chase with the police. However, the police should be the least of Sprittles worries.

Unfortunately, the web series of the same name was canceled. However, if this issue is any indication the comic book story will be able to carry the legacy of this TMNT Universe going forward and approaching the sequel to Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem which is slated for a 2027 release with Joustra returning as the script supervisor for that project as well. Cheetara: Worldbreaker #1 is a tremendous side adventure in the world of the Thundercats. This series is setting up to really give readers a better understanding of how we have ended up on Third Earth and in the situations the Thundercats currently find themselves in.

The first issue of this new series is a very entertaining and fun ride. The book doesnt really take itself seriously, well at the same time still delivering a good story. Mark Russell walks the fine line between innocent entertaining and being offensive to a sector of the population expertly. Never does the book disrespect the Christian faith or portray Jesus in a bad light, which is a credit to Marks writing.

The second issue of this wild team-up series is a ton of fun and very entertaining. Stuart Moore does a great job of taking such a ridiculous premise and making it more entertaining than it has any right to be. Moore reminds us that comics dont always have to be serious or streamlined sometimes all we need is fun, and this book delivers that hands down.

Issue three ups the ante and the drama that has been established in the first two issues. Matthew Rosenberg does an amazing job of building up the mystery of what is going on, well at the same time delivering some great action. The subtle reveals well adding some more intrigue at the same time really draws the reader in and makes you want more.

White Sky #1 is a great kickoff to this series and really sets the tone for what’s to come. The mysterious nature of the story makes the reader want to learn more about this world and keep them on the edge of their seats with anticipation. The writing is fantastic and the artwork is amazing. This is a different kind of story and that shines through in this first issue. This book is a must get at the LCS this week and is also a slam dunk add to your Pull List as well.

White Sky #2 does a great job of following up the groundwork that issue one set up. The additional things we find out about the world, build it up more, well adding some more horror to the story as well. The threat of the ghosts are only matched by the outlaws and their cannibalistic ways. As the mysteries are unraveled and new ones appear, they will surely keep the reader in suspense and hooked. Grab a copy of this issue at the LCS and see what all the hypes about.

The color work merits particular recognition, as it thoughtfully complements the illustrations and provides each panel with a distinct and vibrant character. The chosen palette consistently supports the tone of the story, ensuring that the visuals remain visually compelling throughout. The cohesive collaboration among the artists is apparent, resulting in imagery that elevates the storytelling and creates a lasting impression for the reader.

X-Men #25 brings a lot to the table and accomplishes what it needs to do to drive the story forward. The introduction of a new threat, alongside a cliffhanger reveal to close out the issue make for an excellent read. The main line X-Men story has really been driving this Shadows of Tomorrow event, and this issue is no different. A worthwhile series to check out and pick up when you are at the shop this week.

X-Men #26 delivers a compelling narrative that effectively pushes the story ahead. With the introduction of a new antagonist and a cliffhanger ending, this issue offers an engaging experience. The main X-Men storyline continues to propel the Shadows of Tomorrow event, and this installment is no exception. It's definitely a series worth exploring and picking up during your next visit to the comic shop.

X-Men #27 continues to push this new version of the X-Men forward and keep readers on the edge of their seats. The threat from the Danger Room mixed with the mystery of who hired them is enough to keep any reader engaged. If you are not reading this series, it’s a good time to give it a shot when you’re at the shops this week.

X-Men #28 continues to ramp up the story in this arc. The peril the X-Men find themselves in builds up the anticipation of the reader as the story plays out. The uncertainty of the future of the team, mixed with the hope we get at the end of the book, takes that anticipation to a fever pitch. This main line story for the X-Men has been consistently good and is delivering with every issue. If you haven’t been reading this series, you should reconsider and pick up a copy at the shop this week.

Geiger #6 is a unique story. Geoff Johns takes us on a side mission with Barney and it pays off. The fact that most of this story is without dialogue, and still draws you in, shows how good of a tale it is.

Geoff Johns continues this post-apocalyptic tale and once again weaves in the unexpected. What makes Gieger work is the amount of side missions that the group goes on. These side missions arent just filler, we learn more about Geiger and the entire team through them. The main story and mission are always front and center, but its these fun side events that sell the book for me.

Geiger #8 continues the journey of our rag tag group of protagonists, well setting the table for whats to come. This issue and series have really hit its stride and has become a truly epic tale. Issue 8 is for all intents and purposes a story build/connector issue, but it still gives you some top tier stories, well moving the plot and suspense for next issue and beyond. The fact that Geoff Johns can take a setup story and turn it into gold speaks volumes to why hes one of the best writers in the industry.

Geiger #9 was a climatic second part to this mini Grovers Corner arc. The battle with the New King and his Knights is some of the best action in comics in recent memory. Geoff Johns has built a world where the line between hero and villain is very blurred. The teases at the end involving other characters from the UnNamed Universe are very exciting.

Geiger #10 is a very good bridge issue in this series. Taking us from the aftermath of Grovers Corner to whats next on the road. As we get a few solutions, we also get a few more unforeseen problems. Add in the return of Junkyard Joe and the introduction of a new threat, this issue delivers it all.

This is the first issue of the new arc in this story, and it delivers. Finally in Lewistown and receiving help almost feels like a new hope will arise. But, between Tariqs own skepticism, the uncertainty of who Ash Arden truly is, and the volatility of Junkyard Joe we are in for one hell of a ride, and Geoff Johns is the perfect conductor for said ride.

The story really picks up in this issue, adding to the great stakes. Geoff Johns does an amazing job of building the intrigue, well at the same time bring the danger and action. This issue encapsulates a ton of emotion and handles all of it nearly perfectly.

The escalation of the story over the past couple of issues has been amazing. Geoff Johns does an amazing job of building suspense, all while tugging at the readers emotions. With so many moving parts in this story, it would be easy to get lost, but to his credit this book and series stay easy to follow.

This issue hits a fever pitch of drama and suspense. As the time gets closer for the nuke to go off, and at the same time the battle between Tariq and Ash intensifies, it really creates an amazing atmosphere for this issue. Geoff Johns masterfully set all of this up, and just when the powder keg was at the peak of volatility an amazing swerve takes place. This is a master class in writing.

This issue focuses more on the story and what is going on in the world of Tariq Geiger. Geoff Johns does a fantastic job of really encapsulating the complexity of this true anti-hero. The layers that are pulled back and the trauma that has shaped this lost character and his band of misfits brings a great deal of intrigue to this book. But nothing prepares you for the cliffhanger finish of this issue, which leaves the reader wondering, where do we go from here?

This issue takes a step back and starts to build up where we are going next in the series. Geoff Johns does a great job of setting the table for what should be the next arc in this saga. The pacing is a little slow and not much really happens outside of the building blocks of the next chapter. Dont get me wrong, its great to take a step back to set things up, but this issue was a little slow for my overall liking.

Geiger #18 delivers an exciting and graphic ending of Coldwater Prison. The story arc is rising up just in time for the return of Ash Arden. Geiger continues to be one of the best comics in the shop with the most consistent art of any comic book. If you are looking for a new series to get into, pick up a copy this week at the LCS and enjoy.

The collaboration between the artists is a key factor in the issue's success. Their ability to work seamlessly together results in consistently high-quality visuals that not only complement the story but also keep the audience engaged. This level of artistry demonstrates why the team is regarded as one of the best in comics today, showcasing their talent and dedication to producing work that truly stands out.

Geiger #21 what this issue lacks in action, it more than makes up for in great storytelling. The back story coupled with the slow reveals and teases keep the reader engaged for the entire issue. This issue is warming the reader up for the bigger crossover that is on its way. With the crossover heating up, this is the perfect time to give this series a chance if you haven’t already. This should make your Pull List for sure.

Geiger #22 is an issue full of heart and really makes the reader feel for the children and our heroes. It is the definition of a feel-good issue and does that very well. It’s also a good connecting issue with an amazing cliffhanger ending. This series is always a joy and is definitely one that should be on your Pull List.

This first issue does an awesome job of introducing the reader to the world and building up intrigue and suspense. Chris Condon shows once again why he is a master of Horror Comics with this original story. Giving the reader only what they need to understand what is going on, well being vague about where we are headed builds tremendous suspense. Between the unknown and the threat of what is to come the horror your mind builds up is palpable.

This issue does an excellent job of building the tension of the story well, continuing to slowly reveal the world and whats actually happening. Chris Condon is putting on a masterclass in how to build suspense and really make the reader dread what is coming next. However, at the same time he is weaving in some real messages about racism and the distrust of the government. Being able to walk the lines of horror, entertainment, and delivering a message and doing it seamlessly speaks volumes for Condons writing.

This issue is a rollercoaster of emotions and really gets the reader thinking about what they would do if in this situation. Chris Condon does a fantastic job writing about the human element of this story and really giving the reader insight into who these characters truly are. This draws you in and makes you care, which really helps in building up the suspense and dread you feel. The psychological horror in this book really immerses the reader in this world.

This issue slows the story down a little bit, well ramping up the suspense and desperation for our characters. Chris Condon does a fantastic job of building a feeling of hopelessness, where no matter what choice our characters make, they are still faced with a major challenge. This sense of desperation creates a high level of suspense that establishes the overall atmosphere of the story. The only detraction is that at times the story can be hard to follow, and the lack of individualism really makes it hard to care for the characters that we are supposed to be rooting for.

Punisher: Red Band #4 captures the essence of old school Punisher books. The right amount of violence mixed with the reason for said violence. The only holdback is the book does bog a little but does not take away from the overall story. If you are a fan of old school Punisher arcs this is the book and series for you.

Punisher: Red Band #5 is an awesome and brutal way to end a story arc. The action and violence is fitting of a Punisher book and series. The reader gets exactly what they thought they were going to get and it's a beautiful thing. If you want an action-packed violence fest for your entertainment this is a must get at the shop this week. If you missed this series and want to read a bad ass series, make sure to grab the Trade when it drops.

The Rocketfellers #11 is a fun and adventurous journey that will leave readers in shock and awe with the final pages. This issue and the series have a ton of heart and match that equally with a lot of fun. This is a book that readers of all ages can enjoy and has a little something for everyone. If you haven't given this series a try yet, pick up this issue at the LCS and see if it's for you.

The Rocketfellers #12 does a great job of bridging the story well, building for future issues in the series. Well lacking some upbeat moments and action if you will, the drama and heart of the story make up for this. The sullener tone allows the reader to soak in the importance of what is going on and the uncertainty of the family. This series always delivers and is a great family book. If you are looking for a series that the whole family can read, The Rocketfellers is that series.

Overall, this book was thoroughly enjoyable. The flow from story to story was impeccable. If you enjoy horror anthology comics this will be a book that will slot in perfectly on your pull list.

Epitaphs from the Abyss #7 is a fun and amusing read. It gives you that horror comics fix you are looking to scratch. This is an issue you should pick up at the LCS and if you enjoy it, you should then add this title to your Pull List as its one of the best horror anthology books out today.

Epitaphs from the Abyss #8 proves why this series is one of the best anthology horror comics on the shelves today. The fact that this issue takes a huge swing with a dark tale that is very real, speaks volumes of how good this series truly is. Pick a copy of this issue up and then add this series to your Pull List ASAP.

Ultraman X Avengers #1 got me invested in where this story will go. There may have not been a big mic drop moment, but it wasnt needed. This issue is a clean cut set the table first issue. There is no way anyone shouldnt pick this up and make sure this series is on your pull list at your LCS.

Ultraman x Avengers #2 is a great continuation of the arc. This second issue does a good job of continuing to build the world, and an awesome job of continuing the character developments. This is a really well written series with amazing art. I recommend this series highly to any comic book fan.

Ultraman x Avengers #4 is a great wrap up for this crossover event. Kyle Higgins & Mat Groom really swung for the fences for this finale. Safe to say they crushed it! Not only is the issue befitting of the finale title, but it also delivers on some memorable moments. Possibly non bigger than Ultraman wielding Captain Americas shield.

The Rocketeer: The Island #1 is a very good first issue that makes the reader want to read more. The story draws you in with a lot of humor and fun, while the art is pleasing to the eye. The surprise characters that show up heighten the excitement and show that there could be much more in store for this series. If you are looking for a fun and family friendly story at the shop this week, pick up this issue and prepare to be very entertained.

This first issue does an incredible job of introducing us to our main characters, well at the same time keeping a mysterious aura about them. Ludo Lullabi has crafted an interesting story, that feels familiar well being completely its own thing. The hellscape of a world welcomes that grimy dystopian feel, where danger is around every corner. Mix that with a volatile main character whose anger gets the best of him, and its a recipe for sur success.

This issue hits the ground running with some great backstory and really moves the story forward. Ludo Lullabi really does an incredible job of creating the world we find ourselves in. The complexities that Lullabi put into the characters really make the reader feel a familiarity with them. This world is definitely not black and white but rather mired in different layers of gray. The revelation at the end of the issue really sets the table for whats to come.

This issue takes a side journey where a rival of Loloi and their battle takes center stage over the main story. Ludo Lullabi does a great job of building the side characters and making them seem as important as our main hero. The action-packed chase really brings a great deal of entertainment and excitement to the issue, with the fight between the soldier and Ash being a tremendous scene.

Ghost Pepper #4 continues to be a fun and entertaining story. However, this comes at the cost of moving the story forward. The pacing is affected greatly by the continuation of a side quest that really doesn't feel like it's moving the story forward. It will be interesting to see what the next issue brings to the series, and if we finally push the story forward. If you are looking for a fun book, this has that base covered. But if you were looking for this story to move forward, sadly that is lacking.

Ghost Pepper #7 gets the story back on track and builds up to what is to come in this new arc. Ash making a play and letting people know that he is the true savior really gets the ball rolling and will make next issue much more interesting. This series has been a sleeper hit that not enough people are talking about. If you haven't given Ghost Pepper a shot yet, grab this issue at the shop this week and enjoy.

Ghost Pepper #8 brings the heat and action in a big way. The drama of Ash choosing a simple life, only to have it ripped away is an incredible touch to this story. This issue really helps build anticipation for what’s to come next in the series, and the eventual final showdown. This series has been impressive and deserves a spot on every comic book fan’s Pull List.

Ghost Pepper #9 continues the full throttle approach to the inevitable showdown between Ash and Bataar. The excitement in this story is at a peak and keeps climbing somehow. With the showdown almost upon us the reader may think how much higher can it go? My answer is pretty damn high, as just when you think you’ve gotten to the Apex, there is more. This series has been awesome, and hopefully you have been a long for this ride.

The first issue of this new Spawn line is very interesting and informative all at once. This story takes place around Spawn #184 and yet ties into whats happening in the current story arc. Thomas Healy does a great job of bringing the reader up to speed where we are in the timeline, while also teasing the familiarity of where we are in the present timeline. This is a tough line to walk, so its a big feather in the cap to pull it off.

This issue does a great job of filling the reader in on the backstory of Nyx and revealing part of her past. Thomas Healy does an amazing job of showing us why Nyx is by herself, while still holding some things back to be revealed. You really start to feel for Nyx and her plight. You also get a good feeling for some of the other characters around her and what they will possibly bring to the table later.

This issue was a real good follow up to issue one. As the escape was daunting enough now the crew has to continue to run and that proves to be the hardest part. Christopher Cantwell does an amazing job of building our trust and feelings for these characters. The amount of jeopardy and strife that he puts them in builds a great deal of suspense for the reader.

Issue number three continues the story seamlessly. Christopher Cantwell does an immaculate job of building the characters up, while turning up the heat of the story. As some mysteries reveal themselves, others are just peaking through. The depth of the characters mixed with making the world in many shades of gray, really makes this story stand out.

This issue really ups the ante and reveals more about the characters weve grown to love or hate. Christopher Cantwell does an expert job of pulling the reader into this story and taking them on the journey. With three distinct storylines going on, you never feel confused or overwhelmed about where we are headed. Also, as the stories start to converge, the bigger picture becomes clearer.

The final issue is upon us and much like the rest of the series, this issue serves up some curveballs. Christopher Cantwell did an amazing job all series of delivering a compelling story that kept readers guessing on where we would be going next. A lot of big swings, with a lot of big hits. On the downside of this, the ending felt a little too convoluted and like Cantwell tried to outdo himself with the swerve factor. It was definitely an ending you dont see coming, but also one that because of this feels like it robbed you of a logical ending.

Warm Fusion #2 is a fever dream of a story that will make the reader question everything. Scott Hoffman crafted a story that is as mysterious as it is crazy. Just when you think you have a grip on what is going on, bam three sixty in the opposite direction. The mystery builds a good amount of suspense which keeps you on the edge of your seat.

Warm Fusion #3 continues the fever of a story this has been, all well giving the reader a satisfying ending. Scott Hoffman painted a crazy picture with this story and completely stuck the landing as well. The body horror element is fantastic, well the heart in this story is what drives it. The ending feels truly satisfying as the bad guys get theirs, and somehow, we also get a truly happy ending as well.

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #1 is a different kind of Kaiju story, told from a completely different perspective than we usually get in this genre. Ethan Parker & Griffen Sheridan do an amazing job of building this dystopian world with some very interesting and unique characters. Being that this story is so unique and uncharted they really have a lot of opportunities to be as creative as possible, and they definitely take advantage of that.

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #2 jumps right into the story and shows us more in the world of the Wanderer. Ethan Parker & Griffen Sheridan do a wonderful job of setting this story up as something completely different from what weve seen in the Godzilla franchise. Tying in a doomsday like cult that worships Godzilla opens endless possibilities where the story can go. Couple that with some good action in the form of a Kaiju v. Mutant battle and you have an entertaining read.

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #3 takes this original concept inside of the world of Godzilla and continues to add more value and story. This is not your usual Godzilla story, and that's its strongest attribute. If you like Godzilla and original stories this is the book for you. Head to the LCS and check out an issue this week.

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #4 really shows off how fun this series can be. A fun premise throughout the book, that brings the reader back to reality at the end. This is definitely a book for a niche audience, but if that audience is you this is definitely a worthwhile pick up at the LCS.

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #5 is a fun and revealing story that really sets the table for what's coming in the arc. Between the unique feel of the art and the crazy reveals that lead to some cool cliffhangers, this issue really has a little something for everyone. If you haven't been following the Kai-Sei Era of Godzilla, this is a fun issue and story to start with.

Godzilla: Escape the Deadzone #6 is an action filled finale of this initial story arc. The excitement of the action and the great art really keep the reader entertained. However, the story falls a little flat for much of the issue. But then it sticks the landing, giving a very good ending with a great tease of what’s to come. The Kai-Sei Era has really kicked off with a bang and makes me hopeful for what’s to come.

Ghostbox #1 is a slow burn with a lot of great world building. Mike Carey does an excellent job of showing you who our main characters are and what makes them tick. The issue does bog down a little in the middle but recovers with a great cliffhanger ending that sets the tone for the series to come.

Ghostbox #2 continues the awesome story that we were introduced to in issue one. Mike Carey continues to build this world while amping up the threats and sense of urgency. Even though the threats of the villainous Estival are imposing, the biggest conflict is that of the sisters just trying to care for one another despite the situation they find themselves in. This issue and story so far have really brought a multi-level approach to this tale.

GHOSTBOX #3 does an amazing job of moving the story forward. Mike Carey is doing an awesome job of building suspense and intrigue. As this issue moves on and the table is set for where the story is going, you find yourself wanting more. The roller coaster of a story is really picking up steam.

This issue really ties the story together. As we near the end of the arc, the plot thickens, and the stakes become higher. Mike Carey does an awesome job of misdirecting the reader, while building up numerous angles at once. As this arc enters its endgame, us readers are still in a mist of endless possibilities.

This final issue of the series brings the story to a good close. Mike Carey ties the story together and really helps push this chapter to a close. The open-ended finish also lends itself for possibly more out of this universe. The only real problem with this finale was that there seemed to be too many open ends, without there being a clean-cut promise of another arc for this title.

Godzilla’s Monsterpiece Theatre: Romeo & Juliet and Godzilla #1 is a fun and entertaining take on the classic story. The writing stays true to the original, well adding some fun moments with everyone’s favorite Kaiju. The artwork is an amazing period piece that transports the reader back in time. If you like Shakespeare, Godzilla, fun stories, or all of the above, pick up a copy when you visit the LCS this week!

Todd McFarlane has really created a great world with GunSlinger Spawn. This story has a little for everyone. The action is good, the fugitive storyline has a familiarity to it, the criminal family tie in hits, and of course monstrous bad guys are a Spawn staple.

GunSlinger Spawn #38 does a good job of bridging the gap in the story thus far. MacFarlane gives us some big teases on whats to come not just for GunSlinger Spawn, but the entire Spawn Universe. The final panels of this issue are what we have been looking forward to, but also bring a healthy amount of uncertainty as well.

Gunslinger Spawn #39 is a fun read with some great action beats and a cool twist cliffhanger ending. If you've been reading this series, you know it's one of the best in the franchise currently. We are coming into a great jump on time in this series.

At the end of issue 39 it appeared that Gunslinger may have met his maker. However, not only does Todd McFarlane swerve us on the demise. He also uses the opportunity to bring in Godsend, to up the ante. He weaves in some great action and story to really push us forward.

This issue wears many hats and has a lot of setups for a much bigger event, and even with all this added weight, it still delivers. Todd MacFarlane does a masterful job of continuing the GunSlinger journey well moving it towards the greater Spawn Universe crossover event. Walking that line can be hard, yet it is done seamlessly here. So huge kudos for that.

Narco #1 sets the tone and pace for the series to come, by laying down some great groundwork. This is a unique take on a true crime/mystery/murder story that has a lot of promise. It definitely has my interest in the next issue and beyond. If you are looking for something different yet familiar grab a copy at the LCS this week.

Matt Bors does a great job of introducing us to Tromaville and all our main characters. Starting out with a new origin story for a beloved character like Toxie is a challenge and Matt does a great job with that. The character is made to feel fresh well still being familiar to us readers.

The Toxic Avenger #2 built on the first issue and improved on the confusion of the first issues layout. Matt Bors is building a new world and origin for a beloved character and is absolutely nailing it. The story brings you into the world of Tromaville and lets you into the psyche of all the citizens we are meeting. Setting up the bad people of this world, while slowly rolling out their true intentions is amazing as well.

The Toxic Avenger #3 builds on the story Matt Bors has been telling while adding a new threat for our toxic hero. The addition of the alien conspiracy has upped the ante and moved the story forward. The flashback in this issue highlights the past and what has shaped Melvin as a person, and now as a hero. Moving the story forward, well also building up the characters that we are falling in love with is a big win for issue 2.

Issue number four picks the story right back up where the previous issue left off. Matt Bors attention to continuity is a big reason this book is moving forward so well. The struggle between our heroes and the bad guys has really picked up. The action sequences are fun and keep you interested. With the big reveal at the end, we are definitely in for one heck of a ride.

The Toxic Avenger #5 is a fitting end for this origin arc in the new Toxie universe. Matt Bors did an excellent job the whole series, and especially in this last issue. Great action, mixed with a really good story, equaled a picture-perfect finish.

The Pedestrian #2 is a great world builder and draws the reader into the lives of the characters in the book. A lot of times slower issues of books that build worlds arent as memorable or sexy. However, this issue makes you care, and you want to see where the story and more importantly these characters will go from here.

This issue does a great job of giving us a better understanding of the bad guys of this world. Joey Esposito does a great job of world building in this issue. As the story plays out and moves forward the build and reveals more special and gives the book a great slow burn feeling.

The Pedestrian #4 puts a bow on the awesome opening arc for this new age hero story. Joey Esposito has crafted an unusual, yet original and refreshing story. In a world where our superheroes meld together, The Pedestrian is completely unique. Every issue and every panel bring something fresh to the genre and for that reason this book is justifiably mesmerizing.

This first issue really does an awesome job of introducing us to the world and our main characters. Benito Cereno does an awesome job of melding the genres of Sci-Fi, Adventure, and Comedy. The concept of a Sci-Fi buddy cop adventure is unique in the market and is a breath of fresh air. The action and humor also hit the spot and make for an amazing perfect blend.

This issue has some really good back story which lets the reader into Bloods world and life a little more. Benito Cereno is crafting a very heartfelt story while at the same time bringing a lot of action and carnage along the way. Knowing that there is more to the story helps build the anticipation for the issues to come.

The third issue is one hell of a cat and mouse chase throughout Metro 1. A lot of carnage, action, and suspense are delivered in this issue. Benito Cereno delivers another compelling issue as the mystery deepens, and the action continues to ramp up. The threat of what the monstrous Prisoner X is capable of is only overshadowed by the mysterious motives that drive his carnage. The layers in this story are awesome and keep us coming back for more.

Issue four takes the story in a completely different direction. We end up on a different planet and with no Blood & Thunder. Benito Cereno takes a gamble on introducing some new concepts and story elements. Which is a good set up for whats to come as the story evolves and continues. However, the complete unfamiliarity with the characters and whats going on is kind of confusing. In the long run it will probably connect and make sense, but here and now it seems out of place.

This issue really drives home the message that this story is based around, while expanding the plot and drawing the reader fully in. Benito Cereno does an excellent job of pushing the story forward while delivering a clear message within the story. The message of a lesser class plays into real life issues of racism and really makes the story relatable. Cereno delivers this message without being didactive which makes it palatable to all readers. The fact that he can walk the line of delivering a direct message while delivering a great story with great action is a testament to how good of a writer he is.

In this issue we get some more interesting storytelling and message building. Benito Cereno is really driving a message home about the privileged and taken advantage of. This message is key and is done very well. Cereno also mixes in some very good action sequences to help entertain the reader and break up some of the tension from the message. With that being said, the story kind of stalls a bit and drags for a lot of this issue. The last few pages with the conversation between the Prisoner and Akeldama really saves this issue and makes it not just another filler issue.

Blood & Thunder #7 continues to deliver some badass action and art. However, these aspects are the sole redeeming qualities of the series, as each issue appears to diverge significantly in direction, making it challenging for readers to follow the overall narrative. A Bounty Hunter on a mission, who takes on full side quests that don't lead to the capture of her target, which would lead to her dream job makes very little sense. This book has the potential to be a top tier comic book, but the story waivers too much to really build it up. At this point if it wasn't for art and action, there would be nothing keeping the scores on this series up.

Blood & Thunder #9 is a great conclusion to a side mission that at times felt like a head scratcher. However, this finale was done very well and with some really cool and meaningful acts that will surely play out later in the series. The artwork has always been the strong suit in this series, but the story really shines in this issue as well. As we will more than likely be on our way to a new planet next issue, it is an exciting time to jump into this series.

Blood & Thunder #10 may be one of the most important issues of the series so far. The revelations that are revealed in this issue are some of the most asked for in the series. This issue feels like a new beginning in a sense and brings so much to the table that it’s like Christmas morning as the reveals are unveiled. This issue is a perfect jumping on point for anyone who has been thinking about giving this series a shot.

Blood & Thunder #11 delivers one hell of a message and is one that we all can learn from. Taking nothing away from the message, which in my opinion deserves to be the star of the show in this case. But unfortunately, outside of the message this issue offers nothing else of importance. With that said I think that the message is so strong and so needed that this should be an issue everyone picks up this week at the shops.

Blood & Thunder #12 is one of the best issues in this entire series and with how solid this series has been that’s saying something. The drama makes you feel for the characters that we have fallen in love with. Well the action is what keeps you engaged throughout the issue. Spawn #359 is a good bridging issue in this current story arc for Spawn. Rory McConville sets the table nicely for where this arc is going in the next few issues. All be it not the most exciting issue of the arc, it will be an issue that gives us the keys to what's going on in future issues.

Todd McFarlanes return to Spawn is glorious and has arrived at a pivotal point in the arc. Showing the struggle that Al is having without his powers, well Heaven, Hell, and the vampires turn up the heat. In true McFarlane fashion he pulls the rug from under our feet on the final pages of the issue.

After the shocking conclusion of issue #360, this issue brings everything full circle. Todd McFarlane does a great job of upping the ante and setting the gears in motion for whats to come. Also, this arc is a genius way to explain why Gunslinger and others had their powers return in their issues leading up to this one. This issue is world building at its finest.
