Apr 21, 2026Corpse Knight #1 is a strong debut that leans into mood, atmosphere, and visual storytelling to set the stage for something bigger. Michael Chaves brings a cinematic sensibility that gives each moment room to breathe, building tension through character and setting before unleashing full horror. Matthew Roberts and Rico Renzi elevate the material with striking imagery that shifts from grounded and somber to grotesque and supernatural. The story keeps some of its cards close, but the emotional core and eerie tone make it an engaging start with plenty of promise. Read Full Review

Apr 22, 2026Corpse Knight #1 introduces this brand-new series a big way and hooks the reader throughout the pages of the first issue. The closeness you feel with Foy and her father makes what happens to them that much more impactful. But it also makes the promise of revenge that much sweeter as well. The art team does an incredible job of bringing this world to life and pulling the reader directly into this world. The fact that they didn’t go completely over the top in the first issue is great and builds intrigue for what’s to come. This will be a series that you don’t want to miss if you like supernatural action stories or just unique stories in general. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Apr 22, 2026There's somebody sort of shadow that seems to be crawling around the edges of the story. Very much a historical horror feel to the series, but the most supernatural elements of this have yet to completely emerge as of the end of the first issue. It's clearly there, though. And so having had an opportunity to really ground the series in a very realistic, first issue, it'll be interesting to see where it moves as the series progresses. Give them the nature of what happened over the course of the first issue it's entirely possible that things could get very fantastic very quickly. Read Full Review
