You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Jul 22, 2026Various a kind of enhanced repetition about the story and the way it's being told. The people keep dying. And it certainly seems as though there might only be a few people left by the end of the series. And while this is not uncommon or fiction, the slow and gradual emergence of human survival feels particularly strong with this particular narrative. Who can sometimes feel enchanted. It can feel seductive. That’s not the case with Odin. There's a deep ugliness at the heart of Odin that doesn't rest on the page in the art. It cuts deeper to the core of the themes beam explored. Fanlight Zone - Richard Coryell
Jul 22, 2026The artwork gives the issue an eerie beauty that makes the horror even more effective, with the visuals feeling just as strange, tense, and disorienting as the story itself. The art team all help make the book feel like something that is constantly shifting under your feet. Together, the creative team delivers one of the most memorable and unsettling issues of the series so far. There's a disquieting rhythm established in this series, each issue feeling like a lurching step towards the grave. Hypocrisy slithers and winds around each character (including our protagonist), ready to eat its fill. While the character art isn't exactly my thing, the compositions and colours mostly are.
