Oct 14, 2026Wolverine: Paradise #1 marks a strong first issue from Dan Panosian and Cory Petit. The issue feels like a story that respects the lore of the character but doesn’t bog down the reader with knowing it all. Panosian expertly guides you through the story using the work of Petit to catch you up along the way. Read Full Review

Oct 15, 2026Wolverine: Paradise promises to be a definitive tale for all Logan fans. However, it’s also easily accessible to those few comic readers who have never picked up an X-Men comic before. Oct 14, 2026Wolverine: Paradise #1 is a stylish, atmospheric debut that reminds us why giving a talented creator complete control can lead to something special. Dan Panosian captures the laid-back spirit of the 1970s while exploring a Wolverine who desperately needs a break but can't ignore his heroic instincts. The artwork is phenomenal, with expressive character acting and inventive layouts that make every scene a pleasure to experience. A little more story would have been welcome, especially given the amount of promotional back matter, but this is a wonderfully refreshing take on Wolverine. Read Full Review

Oct 14, 2026Wolverine: Paradise #1 is a stylish and entertaining debut that combines Logan’s grief with the vibrant excess and criminal underworld of 1980s Miami. Dan Panosian’s confident writing and distinctive artwork make this an exciting start with plenty of promise for issue two. Grab a copy of this issue when you’re at the LCS this week and enjoy the wonderful nostalgia and fun story. I’m sure after you read issue one, you will be hooked for at least issue two, if not the whole series. Read Full Review

Oct 15, 2026Wolverine: Paradise #1 is a stylized story I wasn’t expecting. A Wolverine book set in Miami in the 80s gives Panosian the chance to put all of the energy/vibes/aesthetics of that time period into a superhero book. I really like that this book has a singular vision, so there’s complete synergy between the writing and the art. I am really glad I picked this up because it seems to be a tight story that’s told in the world of superheroes. And I cannot think of a flashier time than the 80s and a sweeter setting than Miami.
