Mar 11, 2026Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #16 is a dramatic and emotional ride that builds on this tremendous story arc. The more we dive into this arc the more it drives us to want more. This series and line have been a bright spot every month at the shops, and this issue continues that trend. As we approach an upcoming climax there is no fear of it disappointing as the story has been that damn good. If this series isn’t already on your Pull List, make sure to add it ASAP! Read Full Review

Mar 11, 2026Issue sixteen continues this outstanding story composed by Gene and his amazing art team! The ever-winding plot takes you through ups and downs with all characters! It’s been said before that comics should be like looking out your own window. Gene has a fabulous ability of making this TMNT series feel like you’re looking in your window instead of out. Focusing on the emotional pull of parents and children, brothers amongst brothers, even friends amongst friends. Read Full Review

Mar 11, 2026Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #16 shows how complicated a family can really be. The turtles reckon with the hypocrisy of their master, while Splinter sacrifices everything for his son’s safety. Luen Yang ratchets the emotions up, while Dalhouse and Delgado’s vivid colors enhance Williams II and Pe’s dynamic action. The Turtles’ confrontation with Splinter is a disaster waiting to unfold. It’s impossible to look away.< Read Full Review

Mar 11, 2026While I would have loved to see more of the Ujigami vs. The Foot battle, in part because what is there looks so great, I’m not exactly sure what I would have removed to make room for it. There’s not a lot in terms of filler here, so outside of just extending the page count, I’m not sure what could really be done. Overall, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles #16 continues an exceptional TMNT comics era that shows no signs of stopping anytime soon, and it’s an easy recommendation for your pull list. Read Full Review

Mar 15, 2026It goes to show that there is so much more going on than what it means for Leonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelo to be reunited with their father. Given this added wait to Splinter’s return creates greater investment in every storyline and sub-plot going on in TMNT. Read Full Review

Mar 17, 2026Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles issue #16 has some elements to enjoy, and Gene Luen Yang's run is certainly growing on me. However, it still bears many of the same issues that the past four issues did and hasn't really corrected any of them. The art is very good, as is to be expected from Freddie Williams III, but that only goes so far. Read Full Review
