I think the social commentary is wonderfully weaved in. We as a society haven't left the world in a good state for future generations. The rich have spearheaded such evils. This is about the next generation taking back from the mega rich to put the power back in the hands of the people. That's why this Batman cannot be billionaire Bruce Wayne. The interation is massively relatable to young socially conscious people. And even older people like me, that want better for the next generation.

Scott Snyder just gets why people are drawn to Batman. It's not just he looks cool and has the best stories written around him. It's that he has suffered one of the biggest trauma as a child, but rather than give in to that trauma and be a criminal, he goes out every night to face tha trauma and rise above it.
