Comic Watch - Kevin Rossi

Snyder's pacing, Dragotta's incredible artwork, Martin's colors, and Napolitano's lettering all work together to create an issue that is as tense as it is visually striking. It is an intense, psychological ride that perfectly illustrates why Batman is a bonafide badass. It wraps up the Scarecrow confrontation with stunning visual flair and sets up massive anticipation as Bruce turns his sights toward the Joker. Continues to be the best super hero comic there is. There are very few comics I get genuinely excited to read. This is one of them.
I can't give a higher compliment than that.
Keeping peoples attention span in 2026 is quite an achievement.

Absolute Batman continues to be stupid, ridiculous and complete nonsense. And I love it! Dragotta is a treasure, in this issue, he made me miss east of west even more!

Scott Snyder just gets why people are drawn to Batman. It's not just he looks cool and has the best stories written around him. It's that he has suffered one of the biggest trauma as a child, but rather than give in to that trauma and be a criminal, he goes out every night to face tha trauma and rise above it.

this issue features a lot of stuff. a battle with scarecrow ,Batgirl, set up vs Joker, Batman and his Mom... its stuffed to the max. Scott pushes the pace and has a sort of ADHD type of story telling that I guess you need in 2026 comics. its a little much for me but I can see the appeal. How cool was Big dumb Batman crucifying Scarecrow at the end? its just cool moments that keep this crazy book appealing. Scott sells lots of Batman book and hes put DC back on the map so the formula works.
Good stuff with Nick doing art duties. This duo is putting out amazing work.Fun issue overall. -
