Apr 15, 2026Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #8 is exactly the comic you’re looking for if you just want to see Battle Beast do battle. Robert Kirkman knows his audience and gives them what they want. Ryan Ottley is at the top of his game with the most fun, exciting, and energetic action that you’ll see pretty much anywhere. That said, if you want a little bit more thematic and plot movement, you’re not going to find it here. This is just an excuse to see people do battle, and that’s about it. Read Full Review

Battle Beast continues to deliver a solid book. After a cool down last issue, we more than make up for it this time. Battle beast is at his most Savage. Chopping off faces and feasting on the Brains inside and licking it clean... disgusting and awesome! while I felt the book is pushing too fast to get to the next plot , it still works overall. Art is fantastic and look like we are getting more Conquest. I wish this wasn't a prequel because we know how it all ends but this will do for now. Highly recommend!! its mindless fun but in a sea of bad X-men books its what I needed.
