If either Phillips or Garbett stepped up their work, this could become an intriguing comic, but so far, it’s just readable.

Joe Palmer has a unique style that most people probably hate, but I can’t get enough of his weird and unusual line work. Destination Kill is a true work of art that you don’t get to see that often in American comics anymore.

Interesting story, mediocre art

I didn’t want to read this title anymore, but flipping through the book, the art looked pretty good and there seemed to be some character development for several members, especially Animalia and Ben, the latest additions to the team. So since I’m a sucker for character growth and the whole soap opera aspect of the X-Men, that most writers seem to have forgotten about, I thought I’d give it a chanc e.
In the end, it‘s less of that than I expected, but probably the best issue of Unlikable X-Men so far, maybe because all the members I really don’t like are absent from the team.more

This wasn’t bad for a first chapter, although I’m having some ethical problems with the entitlement and self-righteousness displayed by the heroes in this book. Anyway, I’m glad Dave Colton is returning - I really enjoyed him in Captain America - and apparently missed his appearance in Wolverine: Weapons of Armageddon, a series I considered skippable, but looks like I shouldn’t have.
The art by Diaz and Alpizar is not quite classic Marvel crossover excellence, but pretty close. This is what superheroes should look like! Give him another year, and Diaz will probably be Marvel‘s brightest star.more

The story jumps from one weird plot point to the next, not all of them making sense. But the worst part of this book is the sketchy art. In the end, it’s just not an enjoyable read.

Batman 10 is a wild ride. What Jimenez is doing here is absolutely stunning and the writing complements the art perfectly.

Terrible art, forgettable history.

The art is unacceptable.

No one who has eyes to see can honestly tell me that they think the art in this book is great. In fact, it’s so bad, I can’t even get myself to read this stuff. If this is the level of quality Marvel is at now, we’re truly fucked.

Finally some answers. Do they make sense though? Not really. With more and more of the same horror-related threats, plus a step down in art quality since Marquez left, I think this was my last issue of Safe Space X-Men. Bye.

I don’t know if Andrea Milana has officially become a second regular artist on this book, but if his art continues to improve as much as in his last few issues, I’m fine with that. This one has some really great action layouts that he probably wouldn’t have been able to pull off just a few months ago. If you want to see a future great artist in the making, read G.I. Joe!

I skipped part 1 and 2, but had to check out part 3 because Mikel Janin is back on art - and, boy, this is probably the best issue I've read in this run yet! The art is fantastic, the story feels engaged and the action is just breathtaking. I just hope the solution of the mystery isn't what I think it is.

Usually I hate it when comics change artists all the time, but in case of this series, the art got better with each issue. Farid Karami’s pages are a sight for sore eyes. I’d say, give him a flagship book, but I think he already drew a few issues of the last Avengers run, which - despite the art - was a huge disappointment. I guess Marvel doesn’t have flagship titles anymore, since either the writ er or the artist or both of them suck. If titles like Wonder Man and The Punisher are Marvel’s best books, while the X-titles, Fantastic Four and Spider-Man are all pretty much dogshit, something is really really going the wrong way for the House of Ideas.more

A satisfying conclusion to a mediocre comic. Trujillo certainly doesn’t waste the great potential of connecting these two great pop culture mythologies, but unfortunately it gets a bit lost in the boring, average art.
