New Titans #33 makes a few assumptions with how much history of the characters the readers may know, but still delivers an exciting mystery. Read Full Review

“Run, Nightwing, RUN!” is the narrative as the Titans return from DC K.O. with a new mystery surrounding them. Brombal takes readers on a time-twisting tale with the writing. Basri & Lucas present the “Groundhog Day” theme with impressive images. A new day is dawning for the Titans. Jump on board now! Read Full Review

    COMICON - Scott Redmond

A whole lot of new has befallen the former sidekicks turned heroes in their own right, as ‘New Titans’ #33 begins a whole different era for the series. A solid beginning as the series hits the ground running at a pretty smooth and intriguing pace. Read Full Review

New Titans #33 may not kickstart this new era with a bang, but its recognition of recent woes for the title and its promise to step beyond is exciting enough to give this opening arc a fair shake. The art is sublime, and the future of the Titans looks bright. Read Full Review

Of course the writer for Batgirl will also make a banger first issue of Titans. I am definitely intrigued by this

Hilarious way they addressed the elephant in the room. My pull is too large, so I’m looking for books to cut. I was kind of hoping this would be one, but I’m interested enough to get the next one.

    Astonishingly Awful

For a potential new reader (I read a few Titans issues over the years but really don’t know much about them) this was a confusing read. Nightwing has lost the will to continue superheroing, which feels contrived, the team is attacked multiple times, and for some reason there’s a talking coffee machine. I didn’t really understand this comic, especially not the coffee machine.

On the positive side, the art looks great.

All in all, this book wasn’t the great jumping on point I expected.
