Absolute Catwoman #1
Selina Kyle has carved a good life for herself. Through her ingenuity and skills, she’s become the greatest thief the world has ever known. With high-tech gear and weaponry, there’s no place too secure for Catwoman. Selina has built this life for herself and thoroughly escaped Gotham. But when someone from her past comes knocking at her door, Selin...
I liked it, but I know this issue might not sit well with long-time fans because of Martin Stein's characterization. All the drama surrounding the creation of the Firestorm project is interesting, but it's cruel to see Ronnie being manipulated. I haven't read much of the character, so this change probably won't affect me as much as others, but I understand it could disappoint a lot of people. I'm more
The Fury of Firestorm #3
Lorraine is on the hunt for the only person who can bring Ronnie back from the brink: Martin Stein. But what did Martin do to cause such a rift between him and Ronnie to begin with?
Action Comics #1099
After defeating Xotar, Superboy and the Justice League turn their attention to another mystery unsolved. The rocket ship that brought Clark to Earth has been activated. Could this be the key to finding Superman?
Terrible art, forgettable history.
Fantastic Four #12
Aliens have invaded Earth and been rebuffed by the Fantastic Four many a time before, and finally, one of them got wise and invaded Earth where the FF couldn't defend it: They're attacking our world in the past, in ANCIENT ROME. Johnny and Reed are the only two who make it back in time before all of history is erased, but it's okay! As long as they...
JSA #20
The Spectre has taken hold of the JSA with one mission: find a new host! But as the JSA fight their former ally, they need to split up and get to the bottom of what has become of the spirit of vengeance!

Supergirl: Survive #1
Kara Zor-El lives a life of small problems. How are you supposed to hold a floppy little baby like her new cousin Kal? Who should she ask to the spring formal? And when will her father and her uncle Jor-El stop squabbling? But the planet Krypton has big problems…like the militaristic dictator Zod ruthlessly crushing dissent and threatening to unlea...
I felt the issue got a bit bogged down by excessive dialogue, it didn't need that much. Having a lot of dialogue is fine, but here it just didn't help move the story forward. That being said, I can't deny it kept me hooked the whole way through. I really liked the characterization of Deadman, and this supernatural horror vibe is right up my alley. I'll definitely check out the next issues.
Deadman #1
The Deadman enters the Next Level! In the millisecond following his murder, the soul of shifty circus aerialist Boston Brand was commandeered by the goddess Rama Kushna, who deputized the erstwhile performer’s ghost with a sacred spectral assignment: the Custodian of All Souls! Now Brand floats—begrudgingly—through this bluegreen purgatory we call ...
Zatanna #2
With a murderous plague spirit on the loose, the Mistress of Magic makes a stop in Memphis, Tennessee, hoping to find aid in a ghostly and melodious ally. However, the enigmatic Agent Di Manes of the Department of Occult Affairs lurks in the shadows, biding his time, going over his own script, ready for his cue.
Swamp Thing 1989 #2
As Swamp Thing is flung backwards through time, his true destination is revealed! While John Constantine works a world of connections to locate the lost elemental, Abby prepares to give birth to their child of three worlds. Witness the epic odyssey that could not see print until now! Over three decades in the making, welcome to the grand finale of ...
I liked the conclusion, but it's sad to realize how uninteresting Absolute Zatanna is. In the finale, we get some great moments with WW, Veronica Cale, and even the Greek gods, but Zatanna and her father show up at the beginning and then just vanish. They’ll probably come back, but wasn't this arc sold as being theirs? And if you look at it with that in mind, this ending is a disappointment. But I more
Absolute Wonder Woman #20
Against the wall, Diana and Zatanna must join forces or perish. When Diana makes the ultimate sacrifice to end the conflict and face her true foe head on, things become more complicated than she feared. Wonder Woman is not an island unto herself, and other forces have vested interests in her mission. Don’t miss the finale of the epic “Season of the...
A good conclusion to this mini-arc. It’s nice to have a mainline monthly Flash book that’s pleasant to read and even look at. The art is good and the writing worked for me too, most of the comedic bits landed well, and the conflict resolution involved Linda, which is always a good thing.
My issue with this run so far is this: everyone is happy, and I need Hunter (Zoom) to show up to mak

Flash #33
Someone has hidden a nuke in Central City, and the Flash has minutes to find it before it goes off! Just one problem: Wally’s already checked everywhere. In fact, he’s actually been checking everywhere over and over for days due to the “putting yourself in danger” trend that’s been making his life a huge pain! But if the Flash can’t find the bomb a...
Sorry, but this is so much fun. REALLY fun. Hopefully, in the next issue, Prime will be confronted with his sins for real, without anyone interfering.
It's such a fun adventure, and well-drawn. I like that JW is using some long-forgotten secondary characters in this arc, which makes everything even better. For me, the best issue of the arc so far.
Superman #38
Superboy-Prime uncovers a secret coven of witches in Metropolis led by the hellish Witchfire. Prime wants to prove he can be the better Superman so badly that he takes on one of his vulnerabilities…magic! But the problem is, now Prime finds himself drawn to Witchfire’s deadly charms in more ways than one…all while one of Superman’s deadliest enemie...
Interesting idea, but with mediocre execution so far.
It's very similar to the Clark origin we all know. We have Smallville, the Kents, but everything takes place a few years earlier since Lex, Pete, Lois, Perry, and the others are much younger.
There's an interesting hook for the future with this whole Jor-El/Jordan thing wanting to help Earth through his inventions, which l

Superman: Father of Tomorrow #1
In a corner of far-flung space, a world explodes. A lone rocket escapes the destruction and races through space, ultimately landing on a small farm in small-town Kansas. A kindly couple steps with trepidation toward the alien craft as the door opens. Out steps a man named Jor-El, the sole survivor of the planet Krypton! As Jor-El fits in to his new...
New Titans #35
Everything is not as it seems! As reality falls apart at the seams, the Titans come face-to-face with an Omega Energy-upgraded Cyborg—one without Victor Stone’s humanity! Their only hope is a mysterious new hero, and the solution may only be found deep within the rampaging Omega Cyborg himself! Will the Titans survive the trappings of their nostalg...
Nightwing #138
There have long been legends of something bestial lurking in the forests just outside of Blüdhaven. Some say it’s demonic. Others think it’s extraterrestrial. When a trail of violent incidents seems to connect this creature to the city’s new super-highway, Nightwing resolves to get to the bottom of it. What he uncovers will bring one of his Titans ...
Absolute Green Arrow (2026)
A serial killer is slaughtering corrupt billionaires. The only clue to his identity is the mysterious green arrows sticking out of his victims’ corpses. Executive protection specialist Dinah Lance, a.k.a. Absolute Black Canary, is one of the people tasked to uncover this murderer’s identity as she investigates her suspects…all familiar DC archers u...
Deathstroke: The Terminator #3
It’s said there is no honor among thieves. But there is a code among killers. Slade Wilson wrote the code. And now he’s in Deadshot’s and Deathblow’s crosshairs for breaking its first rule!
It’s an issue focused on build-up, but I liked it. I want to see Wally interact with Vic.
Absolute Flash #15
On the hunt for answers, Wally is drawn to the derelict facility of the now defunct super-science lab, S.T.A.R. LABS. But something is dwelling within the halls of this place, and the Flash is not ready for this new threat!
The mystery being built up is actually good, but I'm very afraid that all this with Kid Jon might be another trick. At least Slott is throwing in a lot of false flags to make us think otherwise, in case he really isn't the real one. Good art, okay script, I like the use of the other characters in Superman's cast, like Bibbo (I thought he was really going to die 😭) and Ron Troupe. I want to see wh more
Superman Unlimited #13
One word should fill you with fear: Metropolis! Two syllables should have you running for your lives! Beware the wrath of Beppo! The power of a Kryptonian with the mind of an angry primal beast!
