Absolute Wonder Woman #20 is a tea kettle that is now screaming out. We’re at a boiling point in this story as Diana’s battle against this unknown person out to destroy her proves futile again and again. It’s a descent into madness and crafting a tale of betrayal for a familiar foe, and this is a story that works so well. Read Full Review

I can’t sing the praises of this creative team enough. Watching this arc unfold has been such a thrilling ride, and I already know the Season of the Witch trade paperback is going straight onto my watchlist the second it drops so I can relive this epic story over and over again. While this issue brings the Season of the Witch story arc to a close, it doesn’t wrap everything up neatly. Instead, Kelly Thompson leaves readers with a compelling cliffhanger that raises new questions about Diana’s future. With Barbara Minerva still in peril, readers are left wondering not only how and when Wonder Woman will rescue her friend, but also what price Diana may ultimately have to pay in order to do so. Diana’s heroic attempt to save the Zataras leads her into a path of sorrow in an incredible story finale. Thompson’s writing nails the pressure breaking Diana during this conflict. Sherman and Bellaire create superb visuals to ensnare readers along the way. This series always finds ways to raise the bar of storytelling. Read Full Review

I liked the conclusion, but it's sad to realize how uninteresting Absolute Zatanna is. In the finale, we get some great moments with WW, Veronica Cale, and even the Greek gods, but Zatanna and her father show up at the beginning and then just vanish. They’ll probably come back, but wasn't this arc sold as being theirs? And if you look at it with that in mind, this ending is a disappointment. But I did like the issue; it’s really hard for this series to disappoint me. I think it’s very solid and well-made, both in terms of art and writing, even if the latter slips up every now and then.

Apparently this is the best book out there, art wise.
Story wise there is some space to perfection, but it's damn close

Consistently the highlight of my pull list. The art is always amazing. Sherman is a legend in the making. Loved the story, everything worked in perfect harmony. I just wish we had more of Zatanna.

I give high praise to this creative team. It’s really top notch. The story is compelling , it moves well. Tons of pay off and call backs. So why only a 9? Well absolute Zatana could have been so much more. But she’s barely in the issue and was treated more as a plot device than a future solo series star. Aside from that I loved it. The art is inspired and well done. Did I wish we had my favorite fill in artist ever Mattia de Iulis? YES. but Sherman did a good job.
High praise but I wanted more.
