Glad to say that I'd consider this the best issue thus far. Appreciated the slight nod back to Lanzing & Kelly's Captain America run towards the end, and I felt that this issue had a little bit more of an emotional pull to it. Far from something that made me feel strongly, but it was there nonetheless. Furthermore, I just found it to be written a bit better than the past two issues.
Thunderbolts #3
SHANG-CHI AND THE REVOLUTION VS. AMERICAN KAIJU!
When an attempt to recruit U.S.Agent and his partner, Todd Ziller, to the fight against Red Skull goes terribly wrong, it will take everything in Shang-Chi's and Bucky Barnes' arsenals - and more than a little luck - to keep the American Kaiju from destroying Hong Kong!
Oh, okay. I thought the team in the first issue was going to be the team...going forward? I'm not mad at this at all, but, perhaps I missed something regarding the roster for the series as a whole. Anyways, this was good. Not as good as the first issue, in my opinion, but definitely still an enjoyable spy story. Really appreciated that this was a bit of a follow-up to that Winter Soldier one-shot more
Thunderbolts #2
THE REVOLUTION VS. THE KINGPIN!
When Contessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine gets word that Kingpin will be overseeing the transfer of the Red Skull's fortune at the notorious Hellfire Club, Bucky Barnes enlists the aid of his favorite masters of infiltration - a symbiote-equipped Black Widow and a dressed-to-impress Yelena Belova, the White Wi...
Not a bad start here, but definitely one that felt a bit rushed. There are only four issues in this book, so I understand that things, like the team formation, need to move along. In any case, this was fun for what it was and I'm definitely invested enough to continue out and see how things play out, particularly with how much I enjoyed Lanzing & Kelly's run on Captain America, which this is build more
Thunderbolts #1
A REVOLUTION IS COMING! Bucky Barnes, the Revolution, just inherited a mountain of covert intel, and he has one objective: justice. Like lightning. He's going after the establishment, the people no one else is willing or able to take down, and he'll do whatever it takes to win. Teaming with the mysterious Contessa Valentina Allegra De Fontaine, Buc...
This series continues to be a solid read, though I still didn't like this quite as much as the first two issues. I think I do prefer it over the previous one, but it hasn't gotten back to the previous level of quality just yet. Though, I did think the conversation between Jessica and Luke was well-written, as was the one they had in the first issue. Additionally, I'm still really enjoying the inte more
Alias: Red Band #4
THE BUTCHER AND THE BOSS! The twisted trail of Jessica and Typhoid Mary's murder investigation leads to a butcher shop in Hell's Kitchen, but these aren't your ordinary prime cuts. Demonic monsters are being created from the meat, and Jessica and Mary must keep the monsters at bay before the butcher descends...
Very exposition-heavy, but still enjoyable for what it is. Werneck & Messias do a pretty nice job with the interiors, though I think some of the panels were a little too clean/smooth, if that makes sense. In any case, I'm still invested enough to continue on with this and finish it out, as there are a good amount of things I like about this and, even then, there are only two more issues. However, more
Captain Marvel: Dark Past #3
THE DESECRATOR! CAPTAIN MARVEL teams up with SPIDER-WOMAN to stake out a shady arms deal involving Kree technology and comes face-to-face with DESECRATOR, a criminal with ties to the militant group D.N.V.R. But his connection to the Danvers family might run deeper than Carol knows…
Huh. Pretty weird issue here. I liked it, but I felt the execution of it all was rather strange. This felt short and long at the same time. It's a fairly quick read, but I also feel that this could have been condensed a bit. Like, I don't know that we needed all of the visions we got, for instance. The whole thing almost feels like filler, which is odd. I don't know. Nahuelpan's art was nice, thou more
Barbara Gordon: Breakout #2
Barbara Gordon is alone, imprisoned, and outnumbered by the very criminals she put away. Without her team, she’s going to have to fight to survive on her own. Someone at Supermax has her in their crosshairs. Barbara is being hunted, but she’s about to learn that in prison, there’s nowhere to hide… Eisner Award-winning writer Mariko Tamaki and artis...
Really liked this ending. The writing for Bob's character, specifically, is the strongest aspect of this. The crystalline stuff still didn't interest me a whole lot, but I don't really think it was particularly meant to be that intriguing. That said, Jenkins continues to do a great job of making Bob a compelling character, and I really appreciated how he handled Bob moving on at the end, as well a more
Sentry #4
THE WORLD'S MOST DANGEROUS HERO FACES HIS BREAKING POINT! NEW YORK is overrun by a terrifying crystalline entity - and only the SENTRY, returning in full force alongside the FANTASTIC FOUR, stands between the city and total annihilation. Can BOB REYNOLDS unlock the truth behind the crystals' impossible evolution before they consume everything in th...
Your request for The Fury of Firestorm #2 has been completed!
I've seen the sentiment that this, perhaps, should have been put together with the first issue to make it over-sized, and I kind of agree. I liked this and the previous issue, but I think it could have been all together in that way. In any case, I still think this is good and I'm still invested. I don't think it was as good as that first issue, but it's not far off. Some of the dialogue just wasn' more
Ben 10 #2
Now in possession of a mysterious alien device, not only is young Ben Tennyson taking on a variety of strange, otherworldly forms, but the United States army has him on the run! He’s learning more about the Omnitrix – the hard way! Also hot on Ben’s trail is his grandfather, Max, a man with his own set of secrets. Not to mention cousin Gwen, who is...
Glad to say that this was the best issue so far, in my opinion. Garbett is really killing it with both the covers and the interiors of this book, and I'm enjoying just about every part of the story from Phillips. I appreciate that she isn't afraid to give Matt a more humorous side, as seen in his, respective, interactions with Peter and Ben. Furthermore, I think she's doing a really nice job of te more
Daredevil #3
A DANGEROUS OMEN! The paranoia and fear marking the all-new era of Daredevil reached horrifying new heights! Alone and targeted by a villain he doesn't fully understand, Matt Murdock and Daredevil are at the dead center of a calamitous conspiracy! PLUS! The return of Ben Urich! How will his path intersect with Daredevil's this time?! Is he on the s...
A lot of interesting things here. Firstly, I really enjoyed how Camp wrote Rabbit's narration. It threw me off at first, but, then, I realized what he was doing. Rabbit is a small child...so, her narration should read like the thoughts of a small child, right? Furthermore, I felt that he did a really nice job of writing it that way. Especially loved the misunderstandings of words that led to her s more
Bleeding Hearts #5
Can an unwitting act still count as betrayal? Poke and Mush’s friendship is at its breaking point, but can you fault someone for indulging their natural instincts? With Poke’s secret becoming increasingly hard to keep, it may end up being a question he must answer in front of his entire horde, in their most sacred of spaces…a shopping mall!
I liked it, but I know this issue might not sit well with long-time fans because of Martin Stein's characterization. All the drama surrounding the creation of the Firestorm project is interesting, but it's cruel to see Ronnie being manipulated. I haven't read much of the character, so this change probably won't affect me as much as others, but I understand it could disappoint a lot of people. I'm more
The Fury of Firestorm #3
Lorraine is on the hunt for the only person who can bring Ronnie back from the brink: Martin Stein. But what did Martin do to cause such a rift between him and Ronnie to begin with?
Man, I feel so vindicated after talking with people who doubted Lemire on Firestorm, because this just continues to rock. I just really love what Lemire is doing here, man. The backstory with Martin and how he manipulated Ronnie, I thought, was the best part of this. Also, very glad to see Jason get something to do here. Oh yeah, and Firestorm just making light work of multiple Justice League memb more

Skate Ali (2026)
Welcome to near future Los Angeles—a neon-scorched city where skateboarding has been ruthlessly outlawed. But nothing stops Skate Ali.
By day, she’s just another student dodging detention. By night—she’s a rebel on wheels, an enigmatic loner defying the law on the Los Angeles streets.
But when Ali slams headfirst into the ...
I was hoping for a little more from this, but I thought it was fun, nonetheless. Not sure if DeConnick is fully writing the next issue or something, as Humphries was the only one of the two that actually got a "Writer" credit, with DeConnick only getting "Co-Creator" credit. In any case, the story was entertaining for what it was, but I do feel that it had potential to be much better. I'm feeling more

Absolute Catwoman (2026)
Selina Kyle has carved a good life for herself. Through her ingenuity and skills, she’s become the greatest thief the world has ever known. With high-tech gear and weaponry, there’s no place too secure for Catwoman. Selina has built this life for herself and thoroughly escaped Gotham. But when someone from her past comes knocking at her door, Selin...
Really solid start. I wasn't really sure what to expect from this one. With Absolute Green Arrow, there were a lot of hooks going in (slasher horror, killing billionaires, the mystery of who Green Arrow is, etc.). Here, there wasn't really much to go off of aside from the solicitation itself (which I did feel was on the more generic side) and the fact that we're focusing on a character introduced more

Not as strong as a good chunk of this run, but still an enjoyable conclusion to Lanzing & Kelly's time on Steve Rogers. I do feel as though I could have read the two of them writing Steve for a while longer, but I'd also rather get a strong run on the shorter side than an "okay" run that went longer. Not that I think the quality would have diminished had they continued on the book. Rather, I think more
