Jul 26, 2026This is a solid story with a genuinely tragic ending for Grodd, who finally understands why his father believed all humans were bad after witnessing Trickster gun him down. Suffice to say, this incident is only likely to complicate Grodd’s friendship with Wally West, which up until now has been built on mutual trust and understanding. Could this be the beginning of the end for the innocent version of Grodd that we’ve come to embrace in the Absolute Universe? Read Full Review

A largely fun issue that ends up being...not so fun. I really should have seen that coming, but the insane shift in tone was pretty wild once Grodd's dad gets shot and, presumably, killed. Really insane way to end the issue, if you ask me. At least it wasn't Grodd himself, but it's still wild. In any case, this was good and I feel like the book has continued to find its stride a bit.
