This series is being set up as a series of minis, with each being a stand-alone case, and I hope it returns as many times as these creators want it to. Read Full Review

Phenomenal art by Jacob Phillips. The colors are so vibrant and pair well with the story. Especially with the way lights brighten up the city streets, and bits and pieces of people’s faces.
Chris Condon keeps the story intriguing - Ezra Cain is an interesting main character, as we continue to learn snippets about his past. True to classic noir stories, the characters all feel real, while still carrying an aura of mystery.

While it doesn't do a whole lot in terms of really advancing the story, there's just enough to keep me just about as intrigued as I was with the first issue. Really great art from Phillips here, in particular. He really got to shine here, especially with a lot of this issue's second half featuring little-to-no dialogue.

This is basically just a fire hose of exposition and considering how much of it there is, I don’t actually feel this added much to the first issue.
