New pulp-tastic tales in the tradition of Robert E. Howard.

A deadly new foe hunts Conan the Barbarian, tracking his spirit wherever he travels – a killer with keen blade in hand and teeth from old prey strung round his neck. The cult of the Black Stone wants revenge against the Cimmerian and the Son of the Tooth is their weapon of choice.

This is a solid opening chapter to what already feels like another epic story in the making. I really liked the decision by Jim Zub to kick things off by giving us the origin of this new villain, which adds a strong sense of dread to what is clearly building towards an inevitable confrontation. It will be very interesting to see what happens when the Son of the Tooth finally crosses paths with Conan, and if this first issue is anything to go by, that meeting is not going to end quietly. I suspect a few extractions may be in order. Read Full Review

The ties of the boy to the Children of the Woeful Eye, whose path frequently crosses with the path of Conan, connect him to the Cimmerian in a meaningful way. With Conan having recently prevented the efforts of the Eye to revive Thulsa Doom, the group is ready for revenge. The Son of the Tooth looks to be the perfect instrument for the task. I feel the audience is witnessing the start of what could be another epic tale featuring the greatest creation of Robert E. Howard, Conan the Barbarian. By Crom, I am all for it. Read Full Review

A whole issue without Conan?Rest assured that this story still delivers the goods with Zub coming into his own.A origin story of what looks like Conan s next and new enemy.I can't wait to see where this tale takes us

This is an interesting story since Conan isn't even in the issue. It's about a boy who was shunned due to a disability and becomes an assassin. I am looking forward to seeing more about this character and I hope we see the shapeshifter again and the sorceress from the previous issues.
