    Nerd Initiative - Matthew Roth

Hyde Street #12 strikes like a fresh bolt of lightning, and it sends fear and shock throughout us as this issue delivers on The Butcher of Hyde Street and how horrifying he is. The team built up his mystique, and when they drop the curtain, the reveal hits as intended, which is shock and awe. Nobody is safe either, which isn’t a thought I had considered with these characters having been dead already, and I am eager to see what’s next! Read Full Review

With this no character is safe approach, Johns establishes that new residents can emerge at any point to help keep the series fresh. That opens up some exciting possibilities for Ghost Machine’s version of Tales from the Crypt. Read Full Review

This was a fantastic issue in which many of the story threads begin to converge as we learn more about the one figure who truly threatens the system The Scorekeeper has built to govern Hyde Street. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

The individual stories that are told of individual characters still remain a lot more interesting than issues like the 12th in the series. And a visual stories of individual people who have found themselves trapped on Hyde Street continue to be a lot more interesting than the drama between them. That being said, it's really interesting to see the modulation between stories of individuals and stories of the drama between them. Johns seems to be modulating things quite well between the different types of stories that rest uneasily...on Hyde Street. Read Full Review

    AIPT - George Loftus

Hyde Street #12 is an absolute punch to the face, in a good way. The Butcher of Hyde Street arc is in its second issue and the wheels have completely fallen off the cart, with brutal violence, betrayal, fear, paranoia, and a glimpse of the Scorekeeper behind the curtain. Just as things were getting established and a cadence had developed for the denizens of Hyde Street, everything is completely upended in impressively gory fashion. Read Full Review

Loving every second of this Twilight Zone inspired horror comic. Hyde Street is a place where these killers take care of evil souls...it's where you go to pay for your sins. But what happens when the mysterious butcher is killing all the killers on Hyde Street? I'm pulled in by this comic, love the art, the story, everything is pitch perfect, so many characters, so many different tales...I love all the different directions the comic takes from issue to issue, yet one central storyline holds everything together in this strange and interesting world. Who is killing the killers? And why? The events on this particular issue where shocking to say the least!
