Oct 04, 2026Predator vs. the Planet of the Apes #3 is a solid issue in a miniseries that has been much stronger than I would have expected. It's actually taking the time to develop its characters and tell a story that is more than just "Predator hunts prey." It uses the lore of both properties well and blends them together in interesting ways. I'm looking forward to seeing where things go from here and how our leads handle their current predicament. Plot
Arch and General Ursus are saved by Zira and Cornelius, who bring along the now-healed Yautja; he eliminates the soldiers who had rebelled against Ursus.
The Yautja ventures into the Forbidden Zone—the underground ruins of New York City—where they encounter a cult of humans who survived the nuclear war and possess psychic powers. These humans take control of the Yautja, intending to use him as a weapon to eliminate everyone else so they can activate their nuclear missile, the "Doomsday Bomb," and annihilate all of humanity.
This is an excellent crossover between two universes that have made distinct impacts on pop culture; they now coexist in a story that gets off to a great start.
