While the story is going in places I did not expect it to go in, the change up of artist threw me for a loop. I enjoyed the art and I’m loving the story overall and I cannot wait to see where this book goes next! Read Full Review

Is Kamala Khan’s murderer finally discovered? That is the question lingering around the strongest issue of IXF to date. Seeley’s writing brings out all the complexity of a fractured team. Tan & Fajardo Jr. create impressive images leading into a show-stopping final page. An impressive look at a notorious team’s struggle to save the future without destroying themselves in the process. Filled with confusing narrative beats and a mismatched fill-in artist, Inglorious X-Force #4 creates a strange chapter that takes you out of the fun team dynamic/murder mystery mashup that made the series so fun in the first place. Read Full Review

    Astonishingly Awful

Whether it’s the fact that things are finally coming together or the change of artist, this is the best issue of Inglorious X-Force so far. It reminded me of reading X-Force in the 90s, in the best way possible. While the art by Michael Sta. Maria in previous issues was solid, it was also kind of boring. Philip Tan, in comparison, is a breath of fresh air. While I usually don’t like manga-inspired art in superhero books, his style looks really dynamic and fantastic, sometimes reminiscent of early Greg Capullo. Sure, there’s a wonky face here and there, but overall, it’s engaging and interesting. I’ve had a lot of fun with IXF #4.
