Oct 14, 2026Amazing Spider-Man #1001 is a fantastic follow-up to the milestone issue, with Joe Kelly expertly weaving Peter's personal struggles into the mystery surrounding Ravage. Peter's desperation to save Aunt May creates genuinely painful moments, while his connection with MJ offers a welcome emotional reprieve. Pepe Larraz delivers stunning artwork throughout, making even the quieter scenes feel cinematic. There's little action, but the emotional stakes and the growing mystery around Peter's powers make this a gripping chapter. Read Full Review

Oct 14, 2026The Amazing Spider-Man #1001 sets the tone for Peter's upcoming power struggle with Cormac quite well, where his options are limited and there seems to be no way to regain what has since been lost. Whether this new revelation sticks or not is left to be seen, but for now, the palpability of Peter's internal conflict is driving this book in a very exciting manner. Read Full Review

Joe Kelly’s script is short on action but long on dramatic impact, and Pepe Larraz’s artwork sells the emotional beats with ease. This is one of the better ASM issues in a while. Read Full Review

I’m still not a fan of Joe Kelly’s Inferior Spider-Man, but this story, as wild as it is, is somewhat intriguing. I’m also glad there's not a single flashback in this issue. I probably don’t have to mention that the art by Pepe Larraz is perfection.
