Mar 18, 2026There are so many layers to this story that the series seems to speed by at time, but King is essentially just immersing us in a horrible new status quo. There’s plenty of time to explore these characters and this world, especially as it seems we’re just getting started. Read Full Review

Mar 18, 2026What Tom King and Daniel Sampere are cooking up in Wonder Woman #31 feels like an event. The Wonder War has the high stakes drama and little verbal knife twists that drive a book into your brain and make you think about for days after you finish reading it. It makes you go back and re-read the previous issues to see if there were more hints you missed. Then it makes you go back to the beginning of the run and tie red string to cork boards like a true lunatic. Read Full Review

Mar 18, 2026Wonder Woman #31 is a strong start to this arc, but also feels a bit misplaced in the grand scheme of the path this run has taken. Read Full Review

Mar 28, 2026Much like the entire run to date, Wonder Woman #31 will likely prove to be divisive among fans of the character as it doubles down on giving Diana a definitive archenemy going forward, not just for this run but for the mythos as a whole. It’s a tall order and the issue has some questionable plot choices, but the striking art and overall design of the Matriarch carry the book when it stumbles. Read Full Review

Mar 20, 2026I was hoping Tom King had a big story to tell here, but the lack of any real setup makes everything fall flat. It felt more like a lecture than a story, and while the art was great, there wasn't much for Daniel Sampere to do. The biggest sin, though, is that the issue was kinda boring. I didn't care about what was going on, which made the whole thing feel boring and inconsequential throughout. The first shots have been fired in the Wonder War, but I just keep wondering why Tom King is still writing Diana. Her fans deserve better! Read Full Review

What can be said about this issue. I’ll start with the most basic. Tom king sets up nothing. Tom Writes what he may think is a big story arc but like most of his work It falls flat from the bad out of character work. You get 1 panel of WW in the book. The storytelling is just abysmal. The characters? Wooden. Often feeling like they are reading scripts or cosplaying as the actual characters. Much of this book is boring, Diana fans deserve better than this. Trinity is insufferable and the King change from a GL ring to it being kryptonite only highlights his screw up with the GL rules, so he changes it. It now makes the fact that the matriarch shot energy from a kryptonite ring all the more dumb. I really do not think Tom King is a bad writ more
