Kara Zor-El has been saved by the Science Council in Supergirl #12, but their upgrades to the Girl of Steel suggest sinister ulterior motives. Read Full Review

Supergirl Comic Box Commentary - Anj

There is a lot of violent action here. Kara's cybernetics are full of weapons. The city is ablaze. Everything is vibrant. But in many ways, the strength of the issue was showing what a hero Supergirl is in the dysfunctional space of Kandor. It is a balanced showing of the insanity when neither side grows or accepts. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

The clearly temporary nature of Kara's transformation doesn't make the horror of what's happened to her any less intense. The visceral feel of the visual reality of her being a somewhat crudely-constructed cyborg is very powerful. If there was any doubt that Campbell had any kind of arranged with her style and both script and art, it's clearly been eliminated with this pair of issues. Campbell's run with Supergirl ends its first year with kind of an exhilarating ride that should launch it quite satisfying into a promising second year. Read Full Review

This is a war comic, and one that doesn’t shy away from the scars it leaves on the young – including on the girl of steel’s own face, in this issue. Read Full Review

    COMICON - Scott Redmond

Things aren’t going great in Kandor as Supergirl has to pivot and deal with a whole new situation and physical shape. A much harder issue than normal for this usually lighter series, which still hits and keeps to the core of what has made the run work so well. Love for the character, her part in the universe, and the medium as a whole. Read Full Review

While I did enjoy this issue, I do feel it was slightly jarring, but not in a bad way. I am excited to see where Sophie takes this story, as I have loved every issue and will keep this one at the top of my pull list! Read Full Review

The Aspiring Kryptonian - David Beasley

I’m still a little disappointed Conner’s being benched in Supergirl #12 so far, but he and Lena seem to be building towards greater involvement, so I’m intrigued on how that’ll play out. Otherwise, we’re only two issues in on this new arc and it’s proving to be a highly compelling tale. Maybe the best one this series has put up yet. Read Full Review

So tired of these events ending up with some alt Supergirl.

Art is fine. Story is ok. Nice that it didn't eff up her character a ton this time, but of course they still get monster Kara with some evil macguffin anyway.

Hate the concept for a Supergirl comic.

I like reading feelgood comics. I might as well have read Batman.
