    Nightwing #142 isn’t really a tie-in. Sure, the next arc is a tie-in. But it doesn’t feel like one. It has purpose. Right from the beginning, Dan Watters helps connect the events of Bad Seeds to Nightwing’s life by having things literally seep over from one Gotham City to Blüdhaven.     Dick Grayson returns to Gotham City but not for a friendly trip. Watters ushers Nightwing into “Bad Seeds” with a highly emotional move. Lapham and the art team craft a thrilling ride into the unstable vision of Gotham. Only time will tell how Nightwing factors in to the overall schemes of “Bad Seeds” but don’t miss the start.     The art delivers on this gritty aesthetic for sure, with everything feeling dark and almost horror movie-esque. Some panels are better than others, with tremendous details in some areas and odd-looking characters in the next.
