But Why Tho? - William Tucker
Apr 08, 2026Uncanny X-Men Issue 26 is a brilliant transition issue. It’s the start of a new arc, and the tired, sleepy tone of this chapter allows the story to be introduced slowly. Read Full Review

AIPT - David Brooke
Apr 08, 2026Uncanny X-Men #26 launches its new arc with confidence, balancing heartfelt character beats with an unsettling mystery. Gail Simone and Luciano Vecchio keep the focus on emotion and atmosphere, even as the narrative becomes more disorienting toward the end. It stands out for its inventive structure while still leaning into the touching relationships that ground the story. The result is an engaging opener that raises plenty of questions and gives readers a strong reason to stick around. Read Full Review

Comic Watch - Jamison Nilsson
Apr 10, 2026Uncanny X-Men #26 is a much-needed reset between the previous storyline and the next arc of Uncanny. Vecchio taking over the art is a strong new direction, although David Marquez’s art will still be missed. A new art style just in time for a change in story trajectory was a good call. An alternate reality story. How original for an X-Men comic. The art isn't exactly my cup of tea either.
On the positive side: I like the classic soap opera elements (Rogue and Gambit talking about kids, Nightcrawler's new girlfriend), that are pretty much gone from all the other X-titles.
Call me paranoid, but I think all the other reviews with a 10 rating are by the same person. 😆+ Like • Comment -

The art -it sucks
the story- it sucks
alternate reality story. it sucks
Gail - she sucks
im so very tired of her on the X-men. Gail has no voice for these characters. these are dark days for the X books. there is zero new creativity, zero urgency to get new readers. we get rehashed old ideas like the outback, rogue in savage land. last story arc wolverine was a damn werewolf. not long ago he was fighting without eyes. Rogue sounds like a slow adult. it's time to clean house Marvel. almost all the launch books are canceled and this new batch is just as bad!
all the reviews on the site here are fake to try an get the score up. its embarrassing -
