Jul 03, 2024It's cool seeing how the events in the Black Panther miniseries tie into the central "Blood Hunt" story; specifically, Blade using the Impossible City to teleport the Atlantean temple into Central Park. Read Full Review

This is an engaging and well-crafted story. The art is particularly sweet, the best of the miniseries.
But it wanders far afield. The Orisha and Ennead overstay their welcome; the author is clearly entranced by the god-drama even though it no longer matters to T'Challa or Blood Hunt. And this mini is in outright conflict with the main series: They disagree on who actually sent Varnae's temple to Central Park, Blade or T'Challa.

I wouldn't call this a bad series, but I just couldn't really get into it, unfortunately. I felt like there was a little too much focus on the different gods for my liking. Furthermore, I just didn't care that much about whatever T'Challa was doing.
