Apr 15, 2026Alias: Red Band #2 builds on a strong start and sharpens its focus on character and tension. Sam Humphries leans into the uneasy partnership between Jessica Jones and Typhoid Mary, and it pays off in every scene they share. Their back-and-forth drives the issue, balancing humor, danger, and unpredictability in a way that feels true to both characters. The detective angle adds another layer, keeping the mystery compelling without losing sight of the emotional stakes. The Red Band label still feels like window dressing, but the story itself is confident, tense, and worth your time. A volatile pairing, sharp writing, and rising tension make Alias: Red Band a gripping detective story that hits harder with every page. Read Full Review

Apr 15, 2026The dysfunctional duo head further into solving the murders but not without the odds against them. Humphries throws a few different looks at Jessica with the writing. Borges creates magnificent images to bring out the daring investigation. This one has the makings for a sure-fire classic. Read Full Review

Apr 15, 2026I feel confident in saying that this book really does improve on the first issue in every way. It keeps what works and tweaks it just enough to make the mystery even more captivating. We still don’t know what the whole deal is with the postcards, Tyson’s connection to all of this, or his reasons behind it. But it’s shaping up to be the kind of weird and violent mystery Jessica Jones was made to tackle. Anyone who is looking for a gripping, if unconventional mystery story, definitely needs to check out this issue (and the previous one, of course). Read Full Review

Weird Science Marvel Comics - mrgabehernandez
Apr 15, 2026Alias: Red Band #2 keeps the intrigue of the murder mystery fairly high, but the pacing and the obnoxious banter between Jessica Jones and Typhoid Mary hold this issue back severely when compared to issue #1. Sam Humphries has constructed a decent mystery at the heart of the issue, but it’s getting lost because the positives are getting buried underneath the negatives. Read Full Review
