Aug 26, 2025According to online discourse, the author and the adapter rushed the ending of the story given the backlash from fans, which led to unevenness of this volume. For eight volumes, this series has been calculated and steady, but this volume was a sprint to the finish and left a lot of things unsettled. It's truly a shame because we were robbed of the intended conclusion. What we got instead was some convenient answers and attempts at tidying up loose ends while leaving many characters out in the cold. Some of the illustrations are still beautiful and the coloring is still very pretty, but the volume suffered overall and there aren't as many gorgeous scenes or thoughtful details compared to the rest of the series. I still adore the series overall despite the ending being a bit of a low note. Read Full Review
