SWORD IN HAND
Demons run amok in the beastfolk port town of Ur. Amelia scrambles to evacuate the residents, but the demon Aurum abducts her. Meanwhile, Akira has spent nearly all of his shadow magic defending the city. In order to save Amelia, he must rely on his sword, Yato-no-Kami, newly restored by the talented blacksmith Crow. With Night at his side, he sets out for the deepest level of the labyrinth. On their way, they encounter the first princess of Uruk, the largest beastfolk country. She too seeks Amelia, so they join forces, but will it be enough to take down such a fearsome foe?

The Graphic Library - Sara Campbell
Oct 11, 2026There is a lot of action in this volume as Akira and Night travel through the various levels of the dungeon. There isn't just a time jump from one level to the other -- we get to see Akira test out his fighting styles, become more adjusted to his new sword, and level up in his combat skills that he's been neglecting for a better part of this series. Night also shows how he can be of help to his master. Despite the resistance to magic, there are still plenty of spells being lobbed around, and the illustrations capture these moments well.
