Sep 16, 2026Defenders of Light and Dark #3 proves surprisingly essential to Queen in Black, filling in what Knull and Hela have been doing while delivering a major development that directly impacts the event. Tom Waltz and Al Ewing keep the finale moving quickly, perhaps too quickly when Knull and Hela finally collide, but Plan B makes clever use of Marvel's teleporters along the way. Ze Carlos brings plenty of brutality to the battle, particularly during Knull's graphic transformation. The connections to the main series occasionally make it feel less satisfying on its own, but as part of the larger Queen in Black puzzle, it's an important chapter. Read Full Review
