Al Ewing and Tom Waltz make smart use of two distinct teams, giving every hero a chance to contribute while planting seeds that could have meaningful implications for the larger crossover. Although the issue prioritizes action over quieter character moments, the focus on Cloak and Dagger, along with Beta Ray Bill's evolving role in Marvel continuity, gives the story enough substance to stand out. Jul 29, 2026It's a huge crossover event. Not every issue is going to be quite as powerful as every other issue. There's a lot of people involved in putting this thing together. It is nice to know, however, that be a creative demon. This particular issue has worked together in a way that really serves us a foundation for a lot of the rest of what's going to be going on.
