    What can I say? I am a sucker for a good backstory. As I said before one of the things I have truly enjoyed about this series so far even though it has only been two issues is the story within a story that Allen tells. Read Full Review

    Another good issue, though not as good as the first. I really, really enjoy Ashley Allen's action scenes involving Magik and how creative she is in letting Magik use magic. The character work is also good. My one complaint is that the issue ends the same way the last issue 2 ended.

    This is just not working for me. Magik comes off as a bratty kid. Not endearing in the least, and the entire setup of the Russian villain isn't working either. They should have kept it partially grounded and not gone completely supernatural. Ashley Allen is just not a good writer when it comes to Magik. I did like her Moonstar more than I thought. Admittedly, I enjoyed the first couple of issues of her Magik run, but it took a steep dive, and I ultimately dropped it. I'm dropping this one now. No more of this title for me.
