Summary: DD watches the attendees at Ross Archer's funeral, including Karen. Archer was murdered by Brother Brimstone, a character he portrayed on a soap opera. Later, Karen receives a note from the special-effects man to meet him at the LaBrea Tar Pits. Karen is attacked by Brother Brimstone, who intends to kill her. DD arrives at the scene & fights BB. BB is revealed to be Vince Sterling, an actor in the soap opera, & he dies by sinking into the tar pit.
