Within two issues, the latest chapter in the lives of Clint Barton and Natasha Rominov spiral out of control. Led by Phillips superb writing, the action moves without remorse as the drama unfolds. The art team deliver on creating a world of danger amongst an emotional bond. But Why Tho? - William Tucker

The relationship between these villains-turned-heroes is one of the longest in Marvel Comics history, but Black Widow & Hawkeye seems prepared only to acknowledge that point of interest without building upon it. Read Full Review

Like a good action movie, this story takes a simplistic plot and origamis it into something more tense and surprising. Also like a good action movie, it features stylish visuals that increase excitement without compromising clarity. And finally, like a good action movie, neither the plot developments nor the characterizations really hold up to scrutiny.

This is a successful attempt to create entertaining content. I don't think it's art or literature, but it is entertaining.

More writers need to learn that a mediocre Last Page Villain Reveal™ lives and dies almost entirely on whether or not the individual reader knows and likes the LPV.

If you're getting hung up on a character's lack of disguise, you should really drop this book. Clearly, you've got better things to do.

There are some improvements here over the first issue, but also some baffling stuff. I wish I could just call it bland and underwhelming, but there are a lot of issues here and are we really trying to play this straight with undercover spy zero-disguise Clint Barton? I know some editors if Marvel needs some.
