Sep 29, 2026I enjoyed 'Momo' for the most part. There’s something about the absurd progression of the main storyline that makes you curious to find out what absurdity will come next and where it all is leading. And Ignacio Noé’s subtly detailed, nuanced art makes everything interesting to look at. But I’m not sure the absurdity carries as much existential weight as Cusack obviously wants. And despite how well Noé draws them as indiviuals, and despite the fact they are the most sympathetic of all characters, I'm not sure I cared enough about the two protagonists.
