May 14, 2020So, if you enjoy the world of competitive ice skating (and loved Yuri!!! On Ice, which, incidentally, this predates by four years) youre going to love this, even if it has a hetero couple at the centre of the narrative. Theres a need for entertaining, grown-up josei manga like this and Yayoi Ogawa is just the right mangaka to deliver an amusing and endearing story, which bowls along at a lively pace, yet takes enough time to develop the characters in a satisfying way. Oct 20, 2021This volume was very cute and overall wholesome, despite the fact that Kokoro has so little faith in his own abilities. The relationship between Chitose and Kokoro is pretty sweet, but somewhere along the line, Kokoro's development paused - he's still very much the little kid Chitose grew up with, while she's gone out and gotten an adult job and adult responsibilities. There's definitely something a little darker going on behind Kokoro's pursuit of greatness, so maybe that will come out in later volumes. Read Full Review
