Dec 25, 2025For readers who have been with this series since the beginning, there is a certain amount of suspense in this volume as we are nearing several key moments for dear Penelope. The creators have done a decent job of keeping the narrative tension high throughout this volume and providing ample opportunity for readers to be rooting for our dear protagonist (couldn't be heroine, could it?), but tragically, we are reminded of the title of the book a few times over the course of this volume -- that all of Penelope's scheming and best laid plans may all be for nothing, especially because she is her own worst enemy at times.
