“Punishment really is a necessity to tame beasts.” After finishing his basic education, the now fifteen-year-old Vikir van Baskerville is shocked to find himself put on the elite training track. After all, as a path typically reserved for legitimate scions, it’s an unprecedented honor for a bastard son. Tasked with whipping Underdog City into shape as the new deputy magistrate, Vikir sets his sights on dismantling its rampant underbelly in the name of Baskerville―and perhaps claiming a few trophies along the way!

If fans of Solo Leveling are looking for another series to sink their teeth into, this would be a perfect contender. This series has lots of action and an overpowered main character traveling, but it has many dark moments (which should be expected from something with "revenge" in the title). Now that he's a little older, Vikir is proving his ruthlessness with his posting as the Deputy Magistrate, but he still holds out a soft spot for the innocent and less fortunate, especially the citizens of Underdog. There is a lot of violence carried out on page in this series, and many moments of cruelty strongly hinted at with a few blurry moments of the most brutal of Vikir's punishments. S.arang keeps the color palette mostly in the deep reds, purples, and shadows regardless of location or time of day, adding to the overall darkness of the tone. Read Full Review
