You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff

There’s nothing about the series that is specifically original. At least not as seen from the first issue. A fish out of water. Someone looking to define themselves perhaps a bit more recklessly than not due to youth and frustration. There is some suggestion of something stronger around the edges of the first issue, though. And it will be interesting to see exactly where the series goes now that the two central characters have been firmly established in the first issue. It's nice to see a series like this, taking its time and developing the emotional complexities of the characters a little bit before diving right into the more fantastic elements of the story. Little slow, the dialogue is hit or miss (mostly on the miss side for me), but I love the concept and art and I'm excited to see where it goes!
