Throughout I have loved how they’ve handled it, and how they’ve grown. These new additions and storylines have been a ton of fun to see weaved through the primary story of these two. You Don't Read Comics - Russ Bickerstaff
Sep 16, 2026It's entirely possible that the conflict that has arrived by the end of the issue is going to be something that's going to be very appealing. However, the dialogue that Tomasi he is working with in just casual conversation seems a lot more interesting than any of the more standard supernatural, comic or conflict that would happen to the page in the course of the rest of the story. Plot
Zach and Rose check the Unbelievables files Tommy gave them and decide to go to a Deadtones concert.
The music at this concert made Zach and Rose feel good, dispelling the strange, hateful vibe that lingers in Warwick. After meeting with the Deadtones, they all agree that they need a concert in Zach and Rose's town.
The Warwick concert is a success, as the music calms the crowds that were on the verge of fighting. However, a mysterious tornado appears, causing the people to become violent again and destroying the festival.
In the distance, a humanoid made of black slime abducts some teenagers.
Rose, Zach, and the Deadtones must work together to stop this mysterious threat.

This two part story was okay. But I’m just not enjoying this series like I used to. The story is forcing in too many characters. Characters that I’m not really invested in and don’t really care about. It’s starting to feel like Rose and Zachary are no longer the focus of their own book. I also don’t like that Sydney (The Adjudicator) has been completely removed from the story. He was honestly the glue that held this series together. Now there’s not even a mere mention of him.
I’m still mildly entertained by this series. I’ll probably continue to buy the digital single issues. Mayyybe keep buying the trade paperbacks as they come? But I’m just not sure if I want to keep buying my cover A & B sets of the single issues or not? Not if more
