Snake Eyes is once again under the tutelage of his mentor the Hard Master, but to make himself whole once again, the silent Joe must find a student of his own. Also, Destro is banished to a remote COBRA gulag and if you think he's going to stay there, well, you don't know James McCullen Destro.

    I found G.I. Joe #17 to be one of the more enjoyable installments of the series so far. It should be interesting to see if Dixon can maintain his newfound momentum now that the story looks to be veering in entirely new directions next month. Read Full Review

    This read almost exactly like an old episode of the classic cartoon would play. You got a solid story with a beginning, middle and end that almost made expect I'd be getting commercial breaks. While there's a lot that might be missed by a reader who isn't already a fan of the cartoon, there's a lot to like here even if you've never seen an episode. It's also good to see everybody's actual favorite Joe get the spotlight over Duke. Read Full Review

    There are a lot of things that I really, really liked about this issue. Unfortunately, for everything I dug, there was something else that I didn't care much for. It was one step forward and one step back throughout the majority of the issue. When you add in the lack of plot substance, I can't justify ranking the issue any higher, despite its many admirable qualities. Read Full Review
