It's conveying a very clear message about the place of women in the world, and what's expected of this segment of the population. It's the resistance story we'd expect from a Shade and Wonder Woman team-up, and it keeps on delivering. It's message is perhaps the most nuanced and refined of all the Milk Wars titles so far, and everyone on this creative team is firing on full cylinders, making even the most baffling moments of the book enjoyable to watch. Feb 15, 2018If you can make it through the problems in the main story, this really is a delightfully trippy and well done issue. The visuals are on point and the pacing is perfect. This is fantastic in the best possible ways and it really does try to make a strong statement about women being more than what some may think. This is especially pertinent in the era they are invoking. In the time we are now, we would do well to remember that there is a little bit of Wonder Woman in every woman too. Feb 14, 2018I won't tell you that you should go out and pick up Shade the Changing Girl/ Wonder Woman #1. If you haven't read much of either character, I would actually advise against it. This is not a good first impression of either. However, if you have been following Shade, the Changing Girl or you're a long-time fan of Wonder Woman, I would absolutely recommend reading this issue. After reading this review, you'll be prepared for the initial blow and able to just appreciate the striking detail that went into making what is essentially anti-Wonder Woman. It's gross. It's creepy. And it's impossibly well done. If this is an omen of what Milk Wars has to offer, I'm excited. It's good to see DC making good on their promise to weird us all out. I'm weirded out, and I feel like I bought a one-way ticket to a week of nightmares and a newly developed aversion to Dustbusters. Well played, DC. Well played. Read Full Review

You Don't Read Comics - Jeremy Joanes
Feb 15, 2018This is a difficult comic to recommend as it is unfriendly to new readers, but it's a necessary installment of the Milk Wars arc. Shade, the Changing Girl readers will probably not have a tough time, but it will be slog for anyone else. The internal story of the issue isn't especially hard to follow, you'll just have no idea who Shade is and what she's about. This may make readers wonder what her series and, if you're into psychedelic comics, Shade the Changing Girl is the comic to read. The Wonder Woman parts are enjoyable, and the art is captivating. Check it out, but be prepared to be a little confused. Read Full Review

Definitely leaning more towards the "Young Animal" side of the Young Animal/DC spectrum (it's weird, in a pleasant way). Really enjoyable with lots of beautiful art. Full of heavy social commentary, which is what you'd expect from the Milk Wars story, when it intersects with Wonder Woman.

Ok that was definitely a weird one ... And I'm a little disappointed by the end, even more that the Batman/Mother Panic issue.
I find it too easy. This time no milk is spilled ... Well not true their is a bath and a very disturbing statue.
Am I the only one to see some lesbian implied moment ?
Cover - Well to much laugh with this one, definitely love it. 1/2
Writting - I didn't understand all the part about the babies ??? 2/3
Arts - Well I have a mixed feeling - The Shade counterparts are great, but I prefer each time Diana as wonder woman than Wonder Wife.
But I love the painting arm crossed with the kitchen gloves ^^ 2/3
Feelings - Like for Mother Panic, you can only read the doom patrol parts. The rest ar more -
