Sep 29, 2026Skate Ali #4 delivers an important turning point for Ali as she begins to understand she doesn't have to handle everything alone. Her reunion with her father adds welcome emotional weight, while her decision to risk herself for another skater shows how much she's grown since the series began. Natacha Bustos continues to give the book tremendous personality, especially when the skateboarding action kicks into gear. Ali's father's sudden return from his disconnected state could use more explanation, but this is another heartfelt chapter with a strong message for younger readers. Read Full Review
