Mar 31, 2026Carmine Red Claw is so beautifully unhinged with art that is fast and frantic, and colors that are wild and liquid-y. The characters feel intentional with backgrounds that show us as much information as we need, but fade away when action is paramount. Read Full Review

Plot
Carmen Daschier/Red Claw discovers that the mysterious baby carried by the Baron's right-hand man is the chupacabra. She experiences a trance that restores her sanity, and she continues her fight to uncover who is behind all these land purchases. However, she is injured when she falls from a train, which operates with technology millennia ahead of its time.
The Yargoss lizard, who accompanies Carmen, continues to incite her to do terrible things.
This story is set in 1867, so it blends spaghetti western with supernatural mysteries in perfect balance.
Art
The art has an innocent influence, yet with strong lines, achieving excellent moments of terror and brilliantly presenting this Western atmosphere. T more+ Like • Comment
