Shadowland is the final act of Daredevil, and in that regards, I can't think of any other way it could have ended. It might not have been the ending everyone wanted, but it's the one that fits the story best, with a few extra superheroes thrown in for mainly editorial reasons. We all have bosses to report to, after all.
