Beast of Boriken is a comic with something important to say. It entertains, but it also educates and challenges readers to think about the consequences of greed, overdevelopment, and cultural erasure. As someone with Puerto Rican roots, this story resonated with me on a personal level, and I hope more people pick it up not just because it's a great comic, but because conversations like this matter.

And while I'm giving this first issue an 8.5, I have a feeling this score could go up once the entire series is out. Right now, I’m still putting all the pieces together.

I'm enjoying this if you're not picking this up, you need to stop what you're doing and get it! I'm about to run and go pick up another copy of this book right now!

Cassie and Jessica, especially, are written with so much personality that they feel instantly relatable and real. What really caught me off guard, though, was how heartfelt the story is. Its a sincere exploration of identity, friendship, and growing up when your imagination starts bleeding into the real world.

Cold Sliver doesn't just deliver laughs and a wild spectacle, it holds up a funhouse mirror to the world we live in. The Art pops with over the top flair, the comedy lands with bnoth wit and absurdity, and the contrast between reality and fantasy is so sharp it almost feels uncomfortably familiar. It's campy, it's clever, and it's all out fun! For all those reasons, I'm giving this a solid 10/10. Not just for the nostalgia, but because it proves that sometimes the most outlandish comics have the most to say about the real world.

Overall, issue #23 of Void Rivals is a fantastic addition to the Energon Universe. The storytelling is sharp, the artwork is stunning, and theres just the right touch of heart. Its an easy 10/10 for me and I cant wait for the next issue.

By the time I reached the end of this 48-page first issue, I didnt even hesitate, and I went straight over to Comic Geeks and added Good As Dead to my pull list. I cant wait to read more, and if you are like me, you will like this title just as much as I did.

As a new reader, what really grabbed me is how familiar it feels while still offering something fresh. There are shades of Amanda Waller,X-Men, and some solid social commentary, which kept me turning pages and wanting more. This ones definitely going on my pull list.

If youre into emotional sci-fi, weird love stories, or just want to see a song turned into a comic in the coolest way possible, give Closer a shot. And yeah definitely listen to the song while you read.
